K, so I now have Half-Life 1: Anthology, which contains Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift and Team Fortress Classic; I also have the Orange Box, which contains Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. No I looked in a folder called "Games" that was there when I got my computer (I created and use a different folder for my games shortcuts), and saw that I haev two Episode One's (just noticed that) and Half-Life: Source. I have no idea how HL: S got on my computer, I don't remember downloading it and it's not part of the games (is it?) When I click on it, it opened Half Life 2. Everything but HL:S appears on Steam. Help?

It's a new feature that was added to Vista. It's built-in. The idea was to have one place that lists all your installed games. It's supposed to automatically add an icon in that folder, every time you install a game.
The only problem is, it doesn't work very well. Sometimes games don't show up, or games do show up that you don't even have installed. It was also supposed to provide some other nifty features, but the game publishers aren't taking advantage of them.
The only way to get rid of it is to change your Start menu properties. You right click on the Task Bar, choose Properties, click the Start Menu tab, then click the Customize button. Scroll down the list, and look for the Game entry. Click the radio button that says "Don't display this item" and click OK.

Wait till the day comes that you are stuck in safe mode. Apparently, if you have some form of Vundo on your computer then Vista may boot in safe mode and wont tell you why..
Had a client that had this problem a few days ago and it took me a long time to figure out why.
I wished someone would make a win9x/XP emulator for Vista. Microsoft ain't gonna do it, so someone else should.
