As you all know (or should know),
Vista sucks.
It wouldn't even play TRON 2.0 (I still don't know how I got that to work )
Even when it did play TRON 2.0, the Light Cycles wouldn't appear!
On top of that, I have a 64 GB hardive, which Vista too a third of and Recovery partition took 10 GB. Somehow in the past 20months I managed to fill that up to 4 GB

FINALLY...
I upgraded
I got a BFG Tech GeForce 8500 GT graphics card with 1 GB of memory.
Now for the first time... I played Team Fortress2!
Also, I got a Western Digital 500 GB External Hard Drive, so now I can play more than one game with out unistalling/reinstalling everytime or going over my hard drive limit and crashing my computer
So tomorrow, I'm going to be playing Half-Life, Half-Life 2 (E1-2), Portal (ZOMGWTGBBQ!?), Team Fortress 2, and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (none of which I've been able to play before ).

Portal = EPIC WIN
I just played the whole thing 5ish hours straight. It is of now my favorite game on the PC. Possible ever.
I don't mean to sound arrogant, but Portal seemed easier to me than most people made it out to be. True, a couple times I had to stop and think for a second, but alot of people I kow are telling me how horribly hard it was. It was hard just to the point were it was fun, and kept you guessing. And then ending was suprisingly easy for me I would've thought it woulda bee a bit harder.

Well, your SteamID page says you don't have the Cupcake, Fruitcake, or Vanilla Crazy Cake achievements yet, which means you've beaten 0 to 1 Advanced Chambers so far. Go for some of those advanced chambers, I beat the first 4 (I think).

The Freindly Fire achievement is actually pretty easy. If you're going to get that one, try to get it on the one level where GLaDOS says "This chamber has been replaced with a live-fire course designed for military androids". Also, speaking of aheivements, does anyone know how you get the Partygoer acheivement? I have it, I just don't know how I got it. "Make the correct party escort submission position decision." is too vauge. Also, is there a way to tell which Steam compatible games have acheivements?

Agreed. Although I understand how hard it can be to design a challenging boss fight in Portal and try not to use bad level design ethics in the process.

Try "Portal: The Flash Version Map pack for real Portal". Companion Cube is in it, and you use it in the same fashion you used it in the original companion cube level: blocking turret fire and energy balls, except it's for a much, much longer amount of time. Link:

Alright, I found out which testing chamber has all the turrets, it's Chamber 16. You can't get the Freindly Fire acheivement in the Advanced version of that level, because you can't knock down the turrets in advanced mode.

I'm gettin some progress on the Basic Science acheivement, but I doubt I'll ever get it, lol.
