Just a little bit of news I picked up on today.
Disney showed the same teaser they presented at Comicon, this time at their 2008 Showcase for upcoming Disney films.
This is good news, because they wouldn't be showing the trailer again - particularly to people in the industry - if they weren't seriously considering making the sequel.

And I thought I'd just pop in and say an official, higher-res version of the trailer still hasn't been released, even though the bootlegged video has circled the world a few times or so. Heh

According to Ain't it Cool News, there was an event with Disney Studios chairman Dick Cook the other day. Apparently "They showed the TRON 2 trailer (and everyone went nuts), the same that was shown at Comic Con and Dick said it was for sure a go."
Yay! I'd still rather have some sort of official press release or something.

lol... when reading the article, and they briefly mention about Tron 2, and started talking about the other movies, I was like "WHO CARES... TELL US MORE ABOUT TRON"..... lol...
