Heard this Saturday from a VERY reliable source (they've never been wrrong)

From what I've heard, it is definitely a remake and not a sequel which is a shame, because I once read a really good fanfic one about Short Circuit 3. Also, the remake will incorporate modern-day technology.
They better have Tim Blaney for voice acting and at least keep the general design of Johnny, if not use the original...
I hope they don't go overboard with Johnny and make him look ridiculous... he was cool in the 80's and he's cool now!

As long as they actually attack the Communists. 
Seriously, though, they never attacked Russia in the original film, and I found it to be a real letdown.

I recently got Short Circuit on DVD. It was one of my favorite movies of the 80's. Oddly enough I miss having it on VHS (don't ask.. it's just nostalgia).. 
Well... I think a remake might be good even if it turns out to be so different. I've learned to enjoy remakes lately because I don't take them as serious as I use to... but thats just me.
I wonder if anyone will be making a cameo.
