I first found out about this game on LDSO's forums. I recently got the demo working and it is AWESOME! The demo even has online play (albeit for only two players)!

It's kinda like chess, because there is no single winning move. And, to quote the website:

It's global-thermonuclear war, and nobody wins. But maybe.. Just maybe.. You can lose the least.

Seriously, if your computer is compatible, give it a shot!

DEFCON SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Pentium 3 Processor, 600 MHz, 128 MiB RAM, GeForce2 video card, 60 MiB HD, internet connection (for multiplayer games)

Note that games can be played with others online, or against CPUs.

Yeah.. I bought this game when they went retail. I was looking for a 'War Games' video game for a long time since I hadn't played one since the one I had on my C64.

It is a fun game, however it does move a little quick (it's been a while since I played it).

I might just reinstall it. Great game.
