I actually have two franchise ideas for Brawl:

TRON and Guitar Hero!

TRON:
Playable Character: TRON
Assist Trophy: Lightcycle
Stage: MCP Cone

TRON Moves:
B-Throws disk (pressing B again calls it back automatically)
Side B-Throws a gridbug
Down B-Blocks with disk (like Fox, Falco, and Wolf's shields)
Up B-Jumps real high? I dunno.
Final Smash-Summons the power of the users and steals a recognizer which he uses to pwnihilate (NEW WERD! W00T!) opponents.

Lightcycle Assist Trophy:
Appears and then speeds across the stage, like the Exitebike trophy, kinda.

MCP Cone stage:
One flat platform with the MCP in the background. Takes place inside of the cone where the thing is. MCP affects play area until Kevin Flynn jumps in and turns the MCP blue. When the MCP turns blue, players can attack it to damage other players.

Guitar Hero:
Playable Character: Axel Steel
Assist Trophy: Singer
Stage: Mount Olympus

Axel Steel:
B-Launches note circles at other players that explode upon contact. (like Mario's B button attack)
Side B-Shreds note on guitar, creating shockwave.
Down B-Hold to charge; Releasing creates an insaniac (NEW WORDS!) solo based on time held down. Attack style same as Side B.
Up B-Like Fox/Falco's (with flames), but makes shredding sounds instead.
Final Smash-Brings up Fretboard, gives controls. All players are on the bottom part (where notes 'splode). Play notes correctly to hurt other players.

Singer Assist Trophy:
The singer appears on the stage and starts doing metal screams. Replaces the guitar shredding assist trophy in Brawl.

Mount Olympus Stage:
Same layout as Battlefield, but with God of Rock or Lou (chosen randomly) in the background. God of Rock occasionally makes lightning strike in random spots on the stage. Lou does the same, but with fire, which blows from his fingertips.

What you said earlier about Tron and Sark being similar is an unpopular technique started in Melee called "Copy Characters". Simply, characters were basically copies of other characters. For example:

Mario/Dr. Mario
Cpt. Falcon/Gannondorf
Link/Young Link

Mario/Luigi doesn't count because Luigi's fireball works differently, among several other traits. They're small details, yes, but it's what distinguishes a copy from a normal.

And since when do Recognizers have tractor beams?
