Anyone else keep crashing in the room where you first get your procedurals? I get about 3 minutes in after the conscript at the starting room gives me my disk then the game crashes (hard lock) and eventually restarts my pc. I have tried just straight tron2.0 no mods with no issue, I am using the latest patch from tronFAQ (ty by the way) and I did also try turning off details and hardware sound.
Thanks for reading my rant

DX Diag is shows no issues, new game has same issue.
Killing sound completely got me a few more minutes but still crashed, hard lock
tried a reinstall and using the "official patch" instead of the unofficial one, ran worse (crash on start) so im back to the unofficial one.
no issues in other 3d games, on a lark i installed and patched up NOLF2 and it seems happy. Im on the verge of building a new pc anyway so im not exactly suicidal over this may just wait for my new hardware.

If you've run disk defragment and multiple times windows kicks you out of the defragmenter, you will have to repeat it until defrag works. (10-20X) Several programs will crash if that's a problem. Another thing that is suspect, is when a motherboard, RAM, or PSU is not running up to par. You can test your RAM by using microsoft's RAM check, also benchmark with Sandra to test your machine.
BTW, post your PC specs, maybe someone has more information, sometimes the bios needs to be flashed due to processor conflicts, or upgrades to system drivers may be available. In any case, MAKE sure you atleast try to reinstall your system drivers, then last video card drivers.

That would make sense except only the mod has trouble...not the plain jane game. If the mod isnt running everything is coming up roses.
One other odd behavior I noticed is that the NPC's go slack-jawed when speaking, is this normal?
Also I just came off a complete system wipe so drivers are brand spankin' new and upgraded, even installed in the right order.
Bios is up to date...though it is an MSI mb so updates are few and far between. Anyway though Im just gonna put it to bed until I get my new gaming rig built. Life is taking too much time from me at the moment to spend hours troubleshooting a pc that isnt gonna be here more than a few weeks more anyway Thanks for the help

Well, if you feel up to taking another shot at getting the mod to work properly before upgrading . . . try the advice on this page:
http://www.ldso.net/tronfaq/pages/sound.html
Scroll down to the part about "Codec Problem". Try out that advice.
I'm finding that at least 90% of the time, the trouble people are having has to do with sound issues in Tron 2.0.

That certainly seems related to a sound issue. Within the UE mod, the lip synching is related to the volume of the associated sound clip. In early testing, I found that having (for instance) too much background noise in the soundclip made the NCPs stand there with their mouths really widely opened while the sound fragment played.

Because of the above, I'm seconding that advice.
