Flip This Restaurant

on Sunday, March, 09, 2008 1:15 AM
New TV show on one of my wife's favorite stations.

It's called Flip This Restaurant, and we'd never seen it before.

My wife gets about five minutes in and she calls me to the bedroom to look at the screen.

She says "Isn't that Flynn's in Culver City?"

Sure enough, the place they are flipping is a new restaurant being built inside that same building at Washington and Watseka in Culver City.

I recorded what I could of the episode, and I have it set to record again next Saturday. I'll try to post some vids of it.

Sounds cool to me Dave. Reminds me of that show called Hell's Kitchen where there was a spin off from it for restaurants as well. Using the same main character that was so annoying that insulted the players in the game.

VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Flynn's should be an arcade, not a restaurant.
As long as they don't mess up Flynn's, it's all good
Off subject: repeat "restaurant" and read it over an over. Starts to sound and look weird.

I think the title of the show for this one episode should be renamed to "Flipping Flynn's".

I can't remember, were the arcade scenes inside Flynn's actually filmed inside that building, another arcade, or just a arcade set on a sound stage?

Sound stage. I'm pretty sure they only ever filmed the exterior of the building for the movie.

Well, it seems Tron references still appear in unexpected places even today.
