Game controller or Keyboard/mouse?

on Friday, March, 07, 2008 9:48 PM
I have finally found a copy of thanks to the shop section of this site (THANK YOU TRON-SECTOR!!!) I have one problem, I am traditionaly a Xbox player and am currently having problems transitoning to using the keyboard/mouse combo. My Xbox controller doubles as a usb controller for my PC and it worked great for Chronicles of Riddick but not all of the buttons work for Does anybody have any suggestions on what kind of game contoller would work or should I just suck it up and use what Bill Gates gave me.

I've played both the PC and Xbox versions, and trying to throw and control the disc on the Xbox controller drove me insane. The control setup on the Xbox version is just terrible, I'm sorry. The mouse is so much more precise and natural feeling.

A combo of both a gamepad and the mouse can work, I've tried it before. But in the end, I found the mouse and keyboard worked best.

That said . . . the gamepad support in Tron 2.0 is, unfortunately, poorly done. I'd even call it broken.

If you really want to use a gamepad, you'll need a program like JoyToKey or Joy2Mouse. They allow you to map the functions on the controller to keys on the keyboard and bypass the game's gamepad support altogether.

I once used a Joystick (YES, a stick with 2 buttons on it!).

Not only was that incredibly evil, but I had to completely rearrange my controls! Here's what I used:

Top button on Joystick: Jump
Joystick trigger: Fire
Joystick directions: Same as WASD keys
Mouse and directions: Same as normal

I think I tried playing DA with that. Two words: Epic Fail. abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I've tried both joystick version on the xbox and the computer versiom. I nearly looked like one of those Mario Bros characters with hands and feet on the controller pay for the box game just to play it properly. Keyboard and mouse are the best once you configure it the way you want it to on the pc version. the xbox game I nearly fell over just trying to play it peroperly and getting confused which buttons to push when and at which time on the xbox. I still play both to try and get used to both version so I can play both.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Yes. You can find out about the patch in the Mini-FAQ thread.

And the Killer App mod is coming soon.

The only ones that I know of is what TronFAQ had mentioned that can be downloaded here off of tron-sector or off of TronFAQ website. There are no other add ons that I am aware of.
