I've seen a lot of people say that they don't like the final boss battle in . Personally, though, I thought it was the best level in the game. What with traveling through the digitizing stream on platforms that are similar to those in the intro. I agree, the digitizing wormhole really got "cooled-down" from the one seen in the movie, but I really thought that the one was pretty awesome, too. The music is really awesome there, too IMO. I personally wasn't too big of a fan of the actual boss itself (nor was I a big fan of any of the corruption characters; or anything that's sickly green, hehe), but the actual level itself along with the segments between platforms.

I may be one of the few people who liked the entire game, jumping puzzles, boss battles, and all.
My only complaint was that I felt that there weren't enough program models so it felt like I kept seeing the same programs over and over again.

I didn't care for the final boss. The concept of fighting while inside the digitizing stream is ok conceptually, I guess. Actually, I'm not sure I like that either. But the boss and the tiny playing area in which to fight it mostly just frustrated me. The last time I played though the game, I just stopped on the final boss because I didn't care to play that part repeatedly to get through it. Didn't feel like fun - just work.
I loved the ambient music in the game - very cool and it worked well, adding to the atmosphere and feel of the game.

Yeah - I noticed that too. Most of the male programs were pretty much the same model, either with a helmet, without, and/or the visor/glasses thing and tunic thing. There were very few unique male programs. Even fewer unique female programs. I don't think it would have been so difficult for them to come up with some more character variations. Maybe it was all about putting in something and then elaborate on the models later, but time ran out and resources were spent elsewhere?
It would be interesting to hear what DaveTRON could share about that.
Good point, MutoidMan. I don't think I've heard that one brought up before.

The level itself is pretty good, if a bit restrictive. It's quite small at every stage. I liked the idea of being inside a digitizing stream.
I do wish the effects in the background had looked a little more like the film, though. (There was an early trailer where the stream did look more like the film. So in a way, I find it a shame that it ended up being changed.)
But the "boss battle" and the ending cutscene were a letdown. It all felt very rushed. Like Monolith hadn't planned out the ending too carefully, and just threw something together in absence of anything better.
That's okay though, because the rest of the experience was truly excellent. It more than made up for the ending. And it's not like Tron 2.0 isn't the only good game with a less than perfect ending. I could name plenty of examples of games I enjoyed with endings that left me a bit disappointed.

I may be corrupted for saying this, but I kinda liked the ending. hehe.
But then again, the original film didn't have a very powerful ending either. Flynn steps out of the copter and says to Alan and Laura (who we presume know nothing of his adventure) " ". I think the ending for really fit the same theme kinda, which is why I was kinda turned away from UE2's ending at first.

The final boss battle wasn't that bad, actually. But the final cutscene was kind of dull. And I absolutely loved the final shot with Ma3a being enormous. That was very cool
I thought the game was too short, though. Needed an expansion pack (oh, wait...)
And yes, the music in the game was awesome.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online ------------------------------------------------------

The trailer I'm talking about has become extremely difficult to find now. But I managed to find it.

Click either one of the two buttons near the bottom of the page, in the center. Then when the window pops up, click the left button.
Another game I can think of that was absolutely brilliant up until the end, is System Shock 2. The ending in SS2 was pretty lame.
But then Irrational 2K Boston managed to top themselves with Bioshock. The ending to Bioshock was absolutely atrocious. It makes the ending in SS2 look good.
