Jerks on eBay.

The most deceptive sales practice of all is the lie of omission.

Jerk lied by omission in the item description - it was the UK version of a game, not the US version - then tried to bully me into keeping it.

I demanded a refund and he finally agreed to one, minus the shipping. So I sent the item back and didn't hear from the jerk for three days.

So I filed for a PayPal dispute and kicked it up to a claim right away. The jerk didn't reply to it within the 10 days PayPal gives so I got the full price I paid, even the shipping. I'm out the cost to ship it back to him, but I'm happy because it's the principle of the thing.

I left him negative feed back and I guess he got back from whatever cesspool he was in because he left me negative feedback, too. That's fine though. It's my first negative and completely out of character with the rest of my feedback. The negative feedback I left him is coincidentally right next to negative feedback someone else just left him, so they reinforce each other.

Lession learned: Don't buy anything without PalPal Buyer Protection; you never know when you'll need it, like I did.

Had a simmilar experiance once buying original Tron figures worth over £100. The guy didnt even send them so I contested via Paypal and for 100% of the cash back. Left him negative feedback also, but he didnt leave any feedback for me.

I count myself lucky that nobody on eBay has tried to rip me off yet. But then again, I rarely buy anything from eBay sellers so that helps.

I did buy one thing that arrived not in mint condition, like advertised. So I left neutral rather than positive feedback. The item wasn't in "bad" condition, it was fine . . . just not mint like was promised.

Normally I'm very careful not to buy from anyone unless they have excellent feedback, but excellent feedback doesn't guarantee a good transaction.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal, MutoidMan. Somehow it seems that everyone knows someone (usually more than one) who's been burned on eBay.

There are a few people at work who've been burned that I can think of off the top of my head. My Dad got burned. Dad actually got caught in a negative feedback war, but it ended relatively peacefully where they both agreed to remove the negative feedback from each other or something like that. Does that sound right? I've never eBayed, personally.

It seems like a big gamble unless you're dealing with well known sellers.

I know most transactions are good experiences, but sadly, jerks can use eBay too (as with anything, I guess).

I agree with you on this one Todd I have always heard about getting burned on Ebay. The concept is good of what Ebay is and all that. And there are a few good people who are honest about what they sell over that.. I was never much into Ebay as well Call me an old Git in the computer field before the era of famous penned word internet or the world wide web. It takes only a few bad apples in the bunch that tend to make the whole thing of doing it on something like Ebay somewhat not tasteful in my mouth for it.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I strictly stick with sellers who do "buy it now" and I always pay through paypal which is great.

I've had really awesome communication with some sellers. Then there was this one seller that was awfully quiet which scared me but at least my packages arrived in mint condition. I just don't understand why that one seller was so quiet!

Oddly enough, this seller did offer "Buy it now" - which is how I purchased - and PayPay - which is how I payed.

And yes, PayPal is great. They're the reason I got a full refund.

The overwhelming majority of my experience on eBay has been great. I've gotten a bunch of stuff that I could've never laid my hands on otherwise, and mostly from honest sellers who've been a pleasure to deal with.

It just pays to be smart and try your best to always shop smart. Shop... S-Mart! order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
