I think this might be the first message posted by an iPod Touch.
This is kind of cool.
Didn't someone post from an iPhone not too long ago?

Haven't gotten that far into it yet. I believe I can.
My wife had billions of AMEX points racked up and my son's iPod died, so Dad' ol' 20 GB Series 2 iPod went to Colorado for him, and I got an iTouch for 70,000 points and an additional $15. Not a bad deal.
I have to admit my anti-Apple stance is wavering based on these devices. I'm even thinking iPhone if they get the memory up higher.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I've posted from my wife's 8GB iPhone a couple of times.
Being able to surf the 'net from anywhere via the 2.5G EDGE network is pretty awesome, I must say. A bit pokey sometimes, sure, but you're on the internet anywhere you can get a phone signal, so you can't really complain all that much. Of course, when in the range of a Wi-Fi hotspot or when at home on my wireless-g network the connection is much faster.
FYI, I've read that the second-gen iPhone is due out in the first half of 2008 and is supposed to be 3G wireless network-compatible and will probably have 16GB RAM. Steve Jobs has confirmed the second-gen iPhone is due out in 2008, so we just have to wait and see.
I only wanted a new iPod, so I got the 160GB iPod Classic and I love it. They gave me 10% off for trading in my old 60GB iPod - even though it was dead - and on top of that I used my $100 iPhone rebate.
Never been a fan of Apple computers either, but they sure know how to make nifty portable devices.

My contract with TMobile runs out in July. The day that happens is the day I pick up an iPhone. The waiting is torture.

Been giving serious thought about getting an iTouch since playing with one at the local Apple store. The photo album functionality and presentation mixed with the touchscreen aspect is what snagged my attention. Oh yeah and the Wi-Fi is a sweet slice of nice. First time I saw the device and how the album worked "the perfect pocket portfolio" rang in my head. Also love the idea of loading my thousands of image references onto one to have at my fingertips while drawing and listening to some grooves.
Hmmm. Wonder if I walk in with a black turtleneck if there is some secret discount? order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

Oh man, if you can, I really need to get one. I've been meaning to get an Ipod one of these days.
I suppose if they can get a NES emulator on there, then I suppose Atari 2600/VCS isn't out of the question.
I'm sure you all know what that means....
I already got it running on my Palm, why shouldn't it work on an Ipod touch?
Oh, btw, those things play MP3s, right?

Congrats on your new iTouch, Sketch!
But... should you really be calling it an "iTouch"?
That term brings back memories of a particular song by the DiVinyls... with one delicious looking lead singer.

Ah yes, speaking of typos that sound so insanely wrong, I think I found one I should bring to your attention....

That was a rather amusing type-o in the other thread. I corrected it for you though.
Every time iTouch the edit button, I get to correct the incorrect. Just felt like a quick pun.
So, Sketch - any iTouch moments to share yet? Or would that be any uTouch moments to share?

Well... one time at Mac camp...
Seriously, when walking out of the store I had that song stuck in my head. I'm one sick puppy.
The truth is that's what everyone is calling them at the store here. Even the clerks say it. It's habit after Apple calling most of its products i"Something." I'm still waiting for Apple to release the iRate, a state-of-the-art hip looking overcharger. Oh I'd get burned at the stake telling a joke like that in a Mac store.
Bought the 8-giger. Using about 5.5 gig so far of refernce images. Need to crop and compress my images to maximize space. Got a few of my music cds so far. Would love a 16 or 32 gig but this is a good starter. You know what they say, it's not the size that counts... it's how you use it. Trying to conserve cash anyway. This is my first iPod so can finally retire the portable cd player.
I will say I don't like the earphones. Never liked the type that plug into your ear canal. Just plain uncomfortable. Do wish the memory was expandable. Other than that I'm really enjoying this device. Now will be on the look out to what areas around town have free wifi.
Gotta run, my iPod is starting to Touch itself again. Have told it would get hairy widgets doing that but it wont stop. https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

Todd,
It's the DiVinyls, and Christina Amphlett was the lead singer. Not exactly a "babe", but what a bod!
I've been a big fan since they came to the US. If you like the song "I Touch Myself", dig back into their music for the song "Boys In Town" or "Only Lonely". Good stuff.

How does The Sector look on your iTouch... er, your iPod Touch? Does it try to squeeze it in the viewable area or does it just scroll bars to allow for the regular look of the formatting?
I'm curious about that kind of thing as I redesign my website. Hand-held devices are being more widely used. My new site (it's not live yet, I work on it in a sandbox directory) looks decent on a normal web browser. Amazingly it looks the same on both IE and Firefox - NOT an easy task to pull off. Well, not the IE6 compatibility part anyway.
Curious how it will look on an iPod or any one of the other widely used portable wireless devices out there.
My phone has internet, but it uses crappy Wap 2.0 technology. I call it "web-lite". It's functional (depending on patience level), but not very pretty. Nothing looks like it does in a normal browser. I just use it to check e-mail and read an interesting tech article here or there when I have a few minutes to kill while I'm out and about. Gaming on it is pretty good, depending on control complexity.
I've seen games for the non-touch iPods - they're pretty cool looking. Does the iPod Touch have games available for it? Anything cool? Did you find a sketching app. for it yet?

Double tapping a page element (image, table...) zooms in to fit that element to the width of the screen. Double tap zooms back out. Pinching also allows quick manual zoom in/out. If you want to play nice with the phone/pod, maybe allow the site to look decent on narrower windows. That may just entail allowing the center table to get thinner. Otherwise, it's very easy to rapidly navigate around any site.
Now, if you want to go nuts, you could have the nav bar on the left fill up the page and have each link slide the screen off to the next page. You'd have to organize the site as a series of thin vertical strips so they wouldn't be so cramped on the screen. I don't how much work that would take or if it's worth it. I'm willing to guess the intersection of the sets of rabid tron fans with iDevice owners is fairly small.
