According to Jeff, he’s being pitched an idea for the sequel pretty soon. He didn’t say what the idea was or who was involved…but he did say the reasons he might want to do it is the innovations to cinema. Here’s what he said, “But the reasons to do it and the reason I did that one (The original Tron) was because it was so innovative and I understand that they’ve got a whole new batch of stuff like that… innovations that they want to use on this so that could be kind of fun.”

This shouldn't come as a big surprise. From what we know, the new TRON is being positioned as something of a continuation rather than a remake - Bridges being involved would make complete sense.

Speaking of Jeff Bridges, I keep forgetting to mention this. There's a new Duracell commercial that's been out for a little while, and Jeff is the narrator. I recognize his distinctive voice.

It starts off with an astronaut inside the space shuttle using an IMAX 3D camera. Then you see a little girl taking pictures at a wedding.

Not exactly Tron related, I know. But I thought it was interesting to hear his voice in a commercial.

Sorry, but that's the format the video originally came in. If I transcode it into a different format, it will lose quality. And it's not the greatest quality to begin with.

Do you have VLCPlayer? It can also play FLV files.
