I found this CG animation and feel in love. This is what Arcades was, and suppose to be. The games' video screens are real videos from the games.
Tron makes an appearance several times here with other awesome greats.
Check it out... I so love this and the music is great. Oh, the keep an eye on the video screens in the back. Blondie and Van Halen music videos are playing in the back ground. SO SUPER AWESOME..

That weas so cool! I wish I had an Arcade like that near our house! I saw an Opus Pluch from Bloom County in that Claw grab game, Opus= Awesome.

Great video. I can think of some other songs that would have captured the 80's feel a little better than "Stone In Love" though.
Also, didn't the arcade seem a little creepy without any people in it?

I almost came close to sheding tears when I saw it the first time because the entire time I was thinking, 'Why did it all have to go away? I had such awesome memories in arcades very much like that back in the Golden Years of gaming.'
Many things came to mind. Great music, first kisses with neighborhood girls, riding our BMX bikes to town, never had to worry about overly political people, more freedom...

We had one WAYYY across town that had all the most current laser disc games, along with a full environmental Discs Of Tron game. That place was insanely cool, and it took an hours ride on a bus just to get there. It was like completing a journey to Mecca once we were there.

I had it all planned out. OMG.. there was a world of things I wanted to say but I'm just too damn overly emotional right now.
It's amazing how nostalgia can effect you... it's also amazing how such a short video can bring so much out of you.
Ok.. I'm going to stop before I start to cry..

Yeah; I was going to ramble on about how great the 80's were, and how nothing can top the Reagan years much less match them, and a whole lot more. But much has already been said on these forums about this topic, and I think I'd only be rehashing a lot of it so I thought better of the attempt.

Man, if only there were a way-back machine to jump on.
I love this video - I have a higher quality version of it somewhere... unless I lost it when my HD went bad last year. Yeah, actually I think it was one of the unrecoverable causalities of that.  It had different music that I thought went a little better with the video, though I forget the song off hand.

Todd if you want me to or if the admins says it is okay. I have here on my linux machine that I can easily upload it to tron-sector. But bedore we do that we would have to make sure if we know where it came from originally to make sure that we get the proper okay for it. It will not move from my compuer here to transfer back out till I hear it is okay to do so.
