No LAN or Internetplay-but they are working on it^^

This game has the shinist graphics,in my opinion.

I really like the last variation you posted lightcycle game grid champions. I think the designer/programer did a great job with that one.

Yeah I remember this one, was the best out of them all in my opinion. Shame the project died back in 2003, too bad no one could take up the work and finish the game off. All it was missing was a LAN mode and maybe up the difficulty a little bit. The A.I. was fantastic but they were still easy to beat once you realised how predictible they can be.

I know armagetron is a good one over here. I have it installed on my ubuntu system over here. really nice to play with.and I like how the camera spins around when you play the game.

Standard issue on my users system!
Latest word is that the 4 player limit will be gone. Next for LAN/internet playing and we are off

I have been involved with Armagetron Advanced for some time now, making the splash screens and various 'movie packs' that change the way the game looks. The latest version is really good and it's the only lightcycle game I play. The movie packs are available on my site at:

Yes, I did (long time ago).
But eventually, I ended up with the default one.
But will look into it once more, no doubt there are new ones

Im working on a light cycle-ish game with my friends. So far, it's nothing fancy, and all you can do is move, no second player yet, but it'll be good once it's finished. My friends made the first little tid bits in BASIC, but we're gonna re-encode it in Java.

I got my start in PC programming by turning the QBASIC Nibbles into lightcycle.
  Independent game programmers for the win!
