I knew it was there by running Spybot and because I had some sort of popup virus, but I found a solution.

It's VundoFix. This little program is a life saver.

Sounds like you ned to do a FISK /MBR in order to get rid of it there Qixx? That might kill it since there is a hidden masterboot record that does not get used. Only stored for emergencies.. I remember I had done that on several occasions for ciruses that attacked he boot record.
