I'm playing Interstate 76 again. I really want to review this game so bad but I have to get all my other reviews out of the way first. I'll need to buy more equipment since the ZD software won't work properly on this game.
I just built a post 95 PC and the game runs great but if I choose to use 3D hardware rendering I'll need to find a good 3Dfx Voodoo card. I'll be scoping out e-bay soon.
Mutoidman, If I can find some time and you have some time to spare perhaps we could jump online and battle. I know we've been saying this for a long time now but I have everything up and running. I'm also thinking about making a few maps too.

Just last week I wiped my PC and started clean again - I know most people think I'm nuts to do it, but it needs to be done - and I've been reinstalling my games a couple at a time. At this rate, I'll be done installing them just before I get the itch to wipe my PC again, but I digress.
To the point: seeing your post just bumped The Interstate '76 Arsenal to the front of the line. Both Interstate '76 Gold Edition and Nitro Pack for Interstate '76 are installed and ready to go!

Damn, I can't get Nitro Pack to run on this PC! AAAAAAAARGH!!!
I'76 works relatively correctly. In Direct3D mode, the dashboard gauges are completely unreadable and some graphics are screwy, but it's otherwise okay, and software mode is fine; actually, since you can crank up from 640x480 to 1024x768 in software mode, and the gauges look a lot better (not perfect, but readable), I prefer software mode.
Nitro Pack crashes no matter what rendering mode I select. I'm going to have to play around some more to see if it's possible to get it to work.
Goog luck on winning the Arsenal auction, and hope to see you on the game gri... I mean, the auto-combat arena soon!

AH-HA! Nitro Pack works perfectly again. I'll have to remember that fix as a part of my bag of tricks for the future.

BTW, from your first post I took it that you don't have your copy of I'76 patched to the Gold Edition.
The Gold Edition patch updates your original copy of I'76 to the same version that is included in Arsenal. With this patch, you can use Direct3D hardware acceleration in addition to 3Dfx, so you wouldn't necessarily need a Voodoo card just for this game.

Oh, and as bad-ass as the intro for I'76 is, I've always liked Nitro Pack's intro even more. Crank it up!

I played around a bit and it looks like I can host a game of either I'76 or Nitro Pack over the internet.
Now I just have to come up with an acceptable control configuration - being that I don't have a steering wheel; do these games work with a wheel? I'll have to look that up - and I'll be ready to go.

My game keeps crashing.. I'm still trying to fix that issue.
I've tried the Demo for the Arsenal pack and it crashes at times too. I'm hoping that when I get the real Arsenal pack I won't have these problems.
Patches for this game is hard to find these days, but no-CD cracks are everywhere. I tried one of them but then the game wont play the CD music... 
I-82 keeps crashing too and I'm convinced that it is due to my GFX drivers because the game isn't compatible with it. I have an old PC that I installed both on. I-76 crashes a lot during cutseans and I-82 crashes after the first level. Once again I think it's due to the GFX card I'm running on that machine too since it's an S3.
I need a good Voodoo card and I think I know where I can get one today... That is if my ex-girlfriend didn't throw away my old computer.

As far as patches go, look at the post immediately preceeding the post with the intro to I'76 Nitro Pack. There's a link to the Activision support page from which you can download the Gold Edition patch for your original copy of I'76. You may have to wait for Arsenal to play Nitro Pack, but with the patch you can play I'76 Gold Edition today.
Also, you may want to try installing on a newer PC. Both games run fine on my rig, and as you may recall it's fairly new and running Windows XP Pro SP2.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Thats another thing... It may be that since I'm running an N'Vidia with latest drivers and DirectX 9.0c, there may be a conflict... or perhaps it's something else...
However... I'm going to try the gold patch. I remember about a year or so ago when we were talking about it on here, I didn't have any problems running the game (well, it was software mode)... but I didn't have much luck with the patch back then...
Since my computer was attacked back in January and I had to reinstall everything, it may just work.
This shouldn't take really long. I know I can get it to work, I just need some more time to figure it out. I so love this game so much I'm willing to go at extreme odds to play it again.

I'm hoping to get it sometime this week. Once I do and play the crap out of it then I'm going to start recording for a game review. Then when it's time and I'm finished, I'll post it on YouTube...

I'76 is beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the best PC games Activision has ever made. Battlezone (the re-make) was really a great game. Atari + Space-Race... Cold War all the way... Good times..
