No, I've never played Hugo's House of Horrors. However, it looks a whole lot like Maniac Mansion, which I did play.

Maniac Mansion... now there's a game I'd love to get for the PC. If only it weren't so darn expensive!order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Chiming in late, but better late than never. Just been busy... as usual.

Another fine game review. Leander looks like a cool game. Nice looking graphics and animation for a game of that time. Looks like something I would have enjoyed if I had an Amiga.

I get your "static" point and agree. Animation glitches, lack of character frames (or just poorly animated), and awkward response mechanics can all detract from game play and enjoyment of the gaming experience.

Loved your super-fast disclaimer talk at the end of the Lion Sword commercial.

BTW - I liked the goth-bitch princess. Something about those goth chicks - I've got a soft spot for them and a hard... uh... hard... time explaining it? Yeah - that's it. They could have given her a little animation - she's quite motionless (perhaps because of the game plot or something). Looks like she's just part of the background scrolling layer in the screen (of her) you demonstrated.

LMAO @ your "Jody Ending" bit! Thank God for good old Ronnie Regan and all be ware of the giant ticks!

Dragon's Lair. You NEED to review Dragon's Lair! Do it, or the evil wizard Mordrock will turn you into a frog or something.

That is a promise... Plus it will be an easy review since I already have them in .oog or .avi (xvid) format.

I decided to to the Tron 2.0 review first even though I said that I'd do it later... I'll do DL but that will be a while later.

Hey - sorry I missed your video a couple weeks back. I enjoyed your "what do I do with this 3D thing" video. I do that sometimes - come up with weird things that I don't have a use for but want to do something with. Unfortunately, I usually just end up jotting them down, not doing anything with them, and eventually loosing the paper I sketched my idea on in the first place. Oh well.

I love your new "Jody's Retro Game Reviews" intro sequence! Mighty cool.

3D-Thing: The Movie? Hey - why not? Why not let your 3D thing be the source of evil power for the dark overlords of Evilonia or something.

Loved the Yars' Revenge cameo during the trike sequence. Can't go wrong with Yars' Revenge, can ya? I think not!

Aman to that Todd.. Yar's rocks.... I really had a great time when me, you, and MM had our competition on here. We really have to do that again sometime.

My brother just gave me some questions to review for the upcoming podcast.... I'm excited about it.

Here is a quick video I uploaded to YouTube about my next project that might not come out till 2009... but it's just something that I really want to do..

Oh... and I might be doing a review of Pinball Dreams next... that or MoonStone....

Don't know what you're up to there, but I look forward to checking it out when you've completed it.

BTW, nice use of the Interstate '82 soundtrack with its unreleased Devo track!

I got a lot of e-mails on it from folks in Europe wanting to know about it. The Interstate games had the best soundtrack ever. I did use one of I-76 nitro for my C64 video.

Speaking of which, I'm going to try to get both games runing on my computer. I lost my Win 9x machine. I should look for another soon..

Yikes, Moonstone was a twisted game! "The seasons of the Moonstones is upon you..." I see you plan to review that one. And maybe you're reviewing Lemmings for the Amiga, too? (Unless you already did that one?). I loved Lemmings for the Amiga. I've tried to play PC versions since then, and one for the PS3, but they are just never the same. The original seems best to me. We'll find out if you disagree soon enough!

I also wonder what you thought of FaeryTale Adventure for Amiga 500, Qix77. Did you ever play it long ago? A friend and I played that quite a bit, exploring the whole map. At the time, it seemed like a huge map. I think it would probably still seem pretty big? Either way, we really enjoyed the gameplay, too. I've tried to play it a couple times since, and it doesn't seem to keep my interest for very long. But back in the day, it was impressive. And it even seems like we played it co-op -- each of us controlling a separate character on the screen. Which (co-op) seems to be lacking in most every game since the year 1996 or so. I guess MMORPGs are co-op to an extent... and Halo tries to be co-op. But I guess I just miss the single-player campaign adventures that could also be played with a friend where one player wouldn't suck the other player along if one of them got too far ahead, etc. I think GTA IV would be cooler if you could do co-op through the game somehow. And I'm intrigued to see what this co-op is for Uncharted Drake's Fortune 2. I wasn't impressed by Halo's co-op; it's just not what I'm looking for in co-op).

I so agree. Lemmings is best played on the Amiga. Like you I've played it on other systems and it just didn't seem to work right. Something always felt wrong and the instruments for the music didn't do the Amiga version any justice. I plan on doing a Lemmings review soon, but it may be a while.

Moonstone was twisted. It's also a hard game starting out since you really have to get so use to the game mechanics. There is a slight delay when swinging your sword.... but what an amazing game... and a gory one as well.

I totally missed Fairy Tale on the Amiga but played the Genesis version of it. I liked it and it reminded me of 'Time Of Lore' on the C64 a little bit. I have it now for the Amiga but haven't gotten around playing it yet.

I'm really big with single play games. I don't like how the trend has been going for multi-player online. It's ok and I do enjoy it from time to time but I really don't like buying a game that is online exclusive. Mainly because I want to play on my time and stop when I want without leaving everyone hanging. It's not so bad with death match games, but MMORPGs can be a hassle when you log back in and your party has advanced far beyond you. Give me single player any day.

Last summer, I spoke to TronFAQ and he is encouraging me to do a TRON 2.0 game review. I want to so bad, but it will be a while. Mainly because I want it to be very special and it's been a while since I used all my software for videos. I still got to get back to my 3D stuff, but I will try to get a TRON 2.0 review up before fall if I can fit it in.

Thanks for watching. I hope to have Moonstone up this weekend. I have sooooo many crazy skits I want to fit in. order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Kidding, kidding. Absolutely take your time on it, make it the best it can be. I look forward to the day you present it. You have a really good talent for doing reviews. They're in-depth, yet entertaining and never boring.

Thanks. I try to whip something together that folks can get a kick out of. I just wished I had a real good mic. Been using a cheap microphone that I got at walmart.

It's great to be working on the videos again. I have so much fun doing it and I get a thrill out of making people laugh at some of my skits.

I finished the intro to Moonstone and I just got done writing my last skit for it too... I'm still laughing about it but I don't know how I'm going to get it to work. It's a frame by frame animation that I'm going to try and put it at the end. If it works, you'll see what I'm talking about.. lol..

That was a cool review Qixx, that game looks fun! What year did that come out? I would have played that when I was a kid if I had it.

Ok, making a HD vid- make your recording at 25 fps or less for youtube.
I recommend you reencode it to HD AVC or at the same framerate. (I use high quality settings- 2 pass level 2-4 deblocking ect. check off all the tools and) I recommend reading a little bit on this stuff -
I don't have this yet, but I highly recommend using Soundforge to do audio work.
I use these settings also:
128 kbits/s sample rate 44.1 or 44 kHz
compress it 2:1 to reduce the crackled audio (that takes alot of tweaking using pinnacle in my case)
Also I deinterlace the video in pinnacle.
I reencode it to HD AVC - HD .mp4 is fine so is .wmv.
If you need anything more specific I may be familiar with what you're using to create videos, I'm currently using pinnacle studio 12 ultimate and Nero 7's nero recode to make my music vids.
Mine are at 30 fps, so I use dailymotion's creative content which allows HD 30fps. Vimeo and Youtube throw out my frames (jittery looking) so I have to start from scratch to make my HD videos for those sites..

Cool review, can't wait to see more.
