All,
I happened across some old PS2 demo discs that I was thinking of popping into my PS2 and checking out. However in the sleeve, the DVD settled into the gum sealant and it's actually on the disc now. If I put that in the PS2, I'm sure it wouldn't read (and maybe get stuck).
Is there a good way of cleaning off the gunk on a DVD to make it playable again?

Try hand soap and dry it off with toilet paper. (Neither will scratch the disc. Don't use water @_@)where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Thanks, Kia. I'll try that.

I wonder if a rubber cement eraser/remover might work as well, but try the soap like Kia said first.

I use dish soap, water, and toilet paper too... Works great on dirty CDs and DVDs.
As for scratches... I use Novice 1 or 2 in repairing the plastic. Works great in most cases...

Maybe try "Goo Gone"
http://www.magicamerican.com/googone.shtml
I have no idea if it's DVD-safe, but worth looking in to. It works great for getting goo off of other smooth surfaces.
Good luck with it.

That stuff is great for cleaning crud off of books but there's some crud that just won't come off! Aargh!

Wow.
Had no idea Goo Gone could be used on books.
That stuff really gets around, huh?
And I won't even ask what kind of crud you find on books in the library your work in. Probably best not to know!

The majority of books I buy are from used bookstores. Occasionally I get a page with a "mystery stain" on it. I just tread lightly and make sure I am not snacking on anything after I touched that page.

They seem to be mostly spaghetti sauces and those are HELL to get off!
Ugh ugh ugh. I keep having to wash my hands a lot after handling the books at work because it is so amazing how dirty the book covers get!
Not to mention the smoke smell that stays with the book after a smoker has checked out the book a month ago. >_

Blood turns brown, spaghetti sauce turns orange.
...yet have to find someone casually bleeding over a book. O.o
