My birthday was this past Sunday, and I had a good time and made out pretty well loot-wise.
My wife and I drove down to stay with our friends in DE over the weekend. We ate subs, had a great vanilla cake with cannoli cream filling and whipped cream icing from Carlo's in Hoboken, our friend made her famous rouladen, we drank Jager Meister and Sam Adams Winter Lager, we banged our heads to the Twisted Sister Christmas album, and basically just laid back and had a good time.
What's even better is that I've still got more birthday celebrating to do this weekend with my brother, and even more birthday celebrating after Christmas with my godson's family the week after Christmas. The celebrating is not usually this spread out, but being spread out like it is makes me really reminds me just how fortunate I am to have such great family and friends.
On to the loot!
Let's see, I was given:
Twisted Sister's "A Twisted Christmas" CD (early birthday present, as I've said)
50th Anniversary Two-Disc Special Edition of Forbidden Planet (they finally gave it the deluxe treatment with a new digital transfer from restored picture and audio, audio remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1, deleted scenes, alternate takes, and more)
LEGO Star Wars II
X³ Reunion 2.0
Rainbow Six: Lockdown
Hitman: Blood Money
Far Cry
And a badly-needed Case Logic 100 CD album to store the game CDs that don't come in some sort of jewel case or DVD clamshell.

Sounds like you made out pretty well in your birthday gift collection of goodies!

Yikes! I have some pretty significant gaps in my memory because of Jager. Cures a flu though, top notch!
