Problem with playing the game

on Wednesday, December, 13, 2006 4:52 AM
Hello!
I don't know if this was posted here before, but here I go:
I just reinstalled Tron 2.0, I wanted to replay it for a long time. I installed it, I updated it, started it (autorun menu), configured all I could and pressed play.
I got a black screen, the hard drive worked for 2-3 more seconds, then it stopped, leaving me with a black screen and no activity.

I have an Athlon 64 3000+/sk939, an EPoX 9NDA3I, 1 GB KingMAX (2x512/400 TSOP), a Sapphire 9800PRO video card, an Audigy 4 and the latest ATi and nVidia drivers. I played the exact copy of the game on 2 other systems before without having any problems with it.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance,

Med.

Try installing this patch. You can just install it over top of the Official patch.

Argh, I'm out of ideas, and the game still does the same problem. I've tried with the original, various pirated versions, and I still get the same problem. But, since FEAR also did the same thing I'm 99.9% sure it's something in the hardware.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

This is a good place to start. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814546

This page gives instructions on using dxdiag, ect.
I would suggest checking the wattage on the PSU, check to see if your Vcard has an extra power plug, if so, you need to plug it in. Low power could damage your system, and your HD shouldn't shut down. You may need to flash your BIOS, run a checkdisk on your HDs, check off the boxes for checkdisk, (disk properties, tools menu) defrag the HD after your finished, and you can check on you system hardware, here's an example:
HereJust incase, you need to make sure all your updates for microsoft are up to date, and get spysweeper, or something similar, there are some nasty rootkits everywhere. Also, turn on DEP for the system and all programs, example:HereThere are alot of resources on the net, microsoft has alot of diagnostic tools, like MBSA. and more.
