I've had an idea recently, to make a tron mmo (how many times people have tried), but this time thing are different. I'm going to make one with php, or cgi, or whatever was used to make Urban Dead. Urban Dead is fun, widely played, and simple to play. If anyone can help me with this, please do.
Character classes could include all of the different types of programs and viruses, with weapons like the ones in Tron 2.0, and other. Possible, no?

Mmm, I think that a new Tron game will always be good, and a MMORPG based in tron universe sounds great.

IDEAS!
i think it should be a bit like urban dead story wise, as in a virus is attacking the system.
Class's:
USER
VIRUS
PROGRAM
(has subclass's)
a 8 x 8 grid of servers or Game grids (64 Servers / Systems / Grids)
In Each "Server' there will be a 5 x 5 grid of buildings Ect...
Server Types:
Windows Server
Linux Server
Unix Server
Dos Server
Mac Os Server
Apple II Server
C64 Server
Ti - 99 Server
No NPCs, the entire world will be controled by players.

Well, I think there should be something different, although survival does sound cool, because It would just be a carbon copy of Urban Dead. I would think there could be objectives, or quests accomplishable for credits or build points and such.

Its likely that you'll never get a reply...
but yeah you're right we're not making a carbon copy but it would be cool to have some part of the sectors being taken over by the corrution and virus's and such, so that it would be a bit like it, but do you like my ideas?

Yes your ideas are very good I appreciate them.
Here's some of mine:
-The corruption isn't exactly everywhere. Rather, ICP's have quarantined something like 4 sectors and these sectors are corrupted. Corruption cannot leave the area, unless somehow they aren't killed by ICPs. Corrupted characters could be decorrupted somehow by a decorruption player. Regular players could leave and exit the corruption zone.
-Not all characters are actual players.
-All abilities are obtainable
-There is an ability limit though, only so many abilities are allowed, meaning you must lose to gain.
-Bosses in quests are not actual players.
-Live shoutbox chat is allowed in groups, like, players can join in groups with approval of the group leader.
That's all I can think of for now.

Yes, it's written in cgi and will be different for every player, I wouldn't know how to get the source code.

also out of the 30 - 80 sectors only 4 are corrupt? how about 8 or 23?

Sounds good, It can be a 4 by 4 grid of sectors.
There will be 100 sectors for the whole system, and about 40 blocks per sector

okey dokey, but how bout 5 x 5 square it isn't much more plus it would make it so that the survivors have to work harder.
Also how about you set up a wiki that would help with ideas alot.
also How will the econemy work, will there be one? do you have to find or purchuse items? Also one of the quests might be to reactivate tron or something along those lines (or meybey have tron long derezzed you you have the ablility to find his gear (Trons Helment, Trons disc, Tron's Ect...)
