Light-Cycles on XBOX question

on Tuesday, September, 05, 2006 1:26 AM
I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

I no nothing of the Tron 2.0 on xbox, but what interests me is :

1. Can we play Tron 2.0 Light-Cycles on Xbox live ?
2. Is it only for the old Xbox or Xbox 360 ?
3. Is the Xbox version of Tron 2.0 better, worse, or the same compared ot the PC version ?

I'm mostly just interested in playing Light-Cycles online.

Cheers

Sebastien

I've never played Tron 2.0 on the XBOX, but I've heard bad things about it. I hear the PC version is much better. I'm sure someone here will back me up on this statement soon.

I'm pretty sure you can play Tron 2.0 Light-Cycles on XBOX Live, but I think you should be prepared to have difficult times finding someone to play with at the same time. (Seems like someone posted here a couple weeks ago looking for players to play Tron 2.0 on XBOX.) The PC suffers this same problem, as well. There just aren't enough Tron 2.0 players out there; and if there is anyone on-line, there's just a few and they often choose to play discs or deathmatch games rather than lightcycles for some reason.

Someone back me up on these claims

Thanks Traahn!

I've read many coments on Amazon and here in the other forum about the game.

I wonder if we can play Light-Cycles with 2 Xbox linked up ? That'd be perfect, 2 screens, no ping-delay problems, no lag.

Does anyone know if the xbox version can link up like Halo for example ?

Thanks

Sebastien

Yes, but good luck finding anyone to play against!

2. Is it only for the old Xbox or Xbox 360 ?
Only for the original Xbox. The 360 isn't backwards compatible with it, so far.

Yes, it can.

If all you want to play is Light Cycles, then I guess the Xbox version is all right. It's missing the rev-up and rev-down sounds though. The sound from the cycle is constant and doesn't change with speed.

But I'm not a fan of the Xbox version, even though I own it.

Nah, not really. There's usually a few people on in the evenings, in at least one game type.

Sure, it's never bursting with activity, but it's still doing "okay".

I just played Light Cycles the other night.

Clavet was referring to lightcycles. And 9 times out of 10 whenever I've tried to go play lightcycles, if anyone is on, they are playing DM/discs. Granted, I haven't tried for a while, so maybe there is more luck playing lightcycles now, but that's just my experience.

Traahn, things have definitely picked up lately.

It goes in cycles, I'll admit. Sometimes it's pretty empty. But invariably there's always someone to play. I'm hearing that for Xbox Live, it's almost impossible to find anyone.
