Hrm... That's tempting. View Masters were always a pretty trippy experience. Can any of the serious collectors here tell me if this is worth it for $28? What would this normally go for?

These go high often, and I am diving in. I get juked at the last second on every one of these I've bid on.

I'm out then. I definitely don't want to juke you off.

No, we wouldn't want that. Don't worry about bidding against me though. May the best man win.

Historically these have gone high, but I doubt we'll see this piece break $100 again. Afterall the last boxed one on eBay sold for under $20 (it was rough though). I can think of several rare/uncommon items that have gone for quite a bit less after several of us finally found one.

Having said that though, the condition on this piece may bring some of us back in action for the sake of upgrading .

I tip my sword. I am in for the long haul on this piece.

You sure were . I thought you would bid $100 for the piece but it looks like I was wrong. Congrats on the win. It's been two years since I saw a nice one on eBay. I just hope another pops up before 2010 .

When you get it, you should send it in to www.toygrader.com (also known as AFA) to have a custom acrylic case made for it. It will probably cost you another $50, but seeing it in acrylic will definitely be worth it. Trust me .

Again, congrats!

Well played. I promise to take good care of it, and if I ever part with it you get first right of refusal, how's that?

Guess your prophecy about not breaking $100 was broken too!

You were bidding against my wife by the way, and her devious little mind goes beyond what one would expect from me. Let's just say if you'd gone $110 to be safe she'd still have had you.

Had I not bid it would have closed for $45, so I think my overall assessment of the pieces popularity/pricing was on track. Honestly, I wish the thing would have closed for $300+. I would love it if more people cared about, and collected, vintage Tron items . Sadly once you, Martin, and I have something the closing price on future auctions is *much* lower .

LOL! I thought it was you and not 'queen___' herself. That's awesome that she bid on it for you . My wife tolerates my collecting but that's about it. Even though I'm convinced I hit the "wife lottery", collecting in general is just something she doesn't understand. Hopefully displaying part of the collection for the first time since 2000 will help to change her mind about things. I was finally able to make it to an IKEA store the other day and purchased two large display cases :^).

Congrats again on the awesome pickup!

That's not such a bad thing. You should see my wife's shoe "collection".

It's QueenJan by the way. Yeah, I too hit the "Wife Lottery".

She doesn't like TRON at all, won't watch it with me. However, she loves Steven and Richard and their families, and of course, me! Therefore she will do whatever it takes to help me build the collection. She's a great partner.

So just remember kids, if you get your ass kicked hard in an Ebay auction with me, it was probably my wife bidding on my ID for me! order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I suppose I agree, but my checkbook is happy I can get much of it cheaper. I'm doing this to preserve some history, and I hate when people bid me up too high.

Sadly once you, Martin, and I have something the closing price on future auctions is *much* lower .

I've actually noticed this in TRON auctions. Does it seem to you that if one of us bids on something it sort of makes it a target? I bought my Discs of TRON arcade unit for $1300 and I have NEVER seen one go that high since. I hate that phenomenon.
