Damn, I haven't even played HL2: Ep 1 yet and now Prey is around the corner . . . I need to do some catching up!

Of course, my computer probably won't run Prey all that well. I need an upgrade pretty soon.

You really inspire me to check out games... FEAR was a game that I wouldn't have ever gave a chance till you told me it was good... So I DL-ed the demo and loved it, bought it, and have loved it ever since... I was so glad it wasn't another damn zombie game...

We didn't see eye to eye with Doom 3 (I didn't like it so much) but it's amazing that all these games using the same engine are really turning out to be awesome... so kudos to you... keep me updated.... I'll try to do the same...

also, I thought quake 4 was the limit of grotesqueness for the doom 3 engine, but prey surpasses quake 4 with flying colours...literally. I stood with horiffic awe as that machine butchered Tommy's grandfather, and that scene with the posessed child...well, i stopped playing there because i don't think i could stand much more at that moment.

i'll get back to playing it later...

True... With me, I can read about a game and think that I won't like it, but when someone talks about it then I take an intrest.

Another thing I love about PC games is being able to download the demo. That way I can try out the game to see if it's worth the $60 that I would have to invest. Prey is truely a game worth getting.

I was thinking of the Strog as well when I was stuck to those platforms and when grand-pa get splattered. Poor grand-pa... I never got the chance to tell him thanks for all those times he took me to the store and bought me cool plastic crap as a kid.... (Earth to Qix).... lol....

The posessed girl that attacks the boy was too weird. In fact, I'm surprise that 3D Realms let it go that far... Nevertheless, it was a neat effect.

The gravity walkways were very impressive. I can see how a lot of people could have head pains though... It didn't bother me, but then again I've played so many games that screw with your eyes that I'm use to it.

I just have to buy this game. It's amazing that the game started back in 1997... then cancelled... then revived a few years ago... and now this... Great game...

Wow! Very cool game!! Possible spoilers, so read at your own risk.

It kept me very intrigued with all the weird stuff going on around in the environment, the interactivity of the bar (TV, jukebox, video poker, etc.); Art Bell ; etc., etc. This game was messssed... up! (in a good way) (kinda like what Prankster Bit said). I couldn't believe the grandpa thing. That's when i knew the game makers had some guts!... which I appreciate.

For those of you who haven't played the Demo.... This isn't just a small one level demo.... This is more like four or five pretty good size levels and it's really worth checking out...

Totally! I was really amazed at how long this demo kept going! There were a couple times where I felt like I must've downloaded the whole game -- but then reality kicked back in

So far, it looks like a very good production and I'll probably buy the game. With how short some games are these days, though, I just hope the demo didn't equate to playing 'half the game.' If I find out this game only has 10-15 hours of gameplay, I'm gonna be upset.

What I really miss is how they use to do Episodes like in Doom and Duke Nukem 3D. It was sort of a standard of 7-8 levels per episode with about 3-5 episodes.
