Chess for free.

on Tuesday, June, 20, 2006 10:14 AM
Its almost pointless to post about free chess games since there are billions of them out there, but I am such a chess nut.

To me Im not really that good of a player, but I love to play chess just for fun. I would rather play chess with a human player, in person, sitting across from one another, but most people in my area never learned to play and are not willing to learn. Shame... Its such a great game.

So we have computer chess...

I found one online that I havent tried out yet, but its a new and updated version of Battle Chess (kind of) called Brutal Chess.

Here is a link if you would like to check it out.

http://brutalchess.sourceforge.net/

If you are a chess nut like I am, you might want to check it out.

Oh.. and if you have a fav. chess game you would like to share, then please do. I love checking out different computer chess games.

I should also include "Chessmaster 10th edition"... Really good retail game that wont cost you over $30.00... Cheaper if you find it in the buget bin.

A chess like (but not chess) game I suggest everyone to check out is "Archon"... Although many debate which version is the best, I personally like the C64 version. Just google for Archon if your interested.

VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I've noticed a lot of nice looking chess games out there for the Linux.

What really gets me is that I found a few for the Amiga OS... Interesting enough, from last I heard, they are still making Amiga OS for Amiga 4000 and for emulation... Pretty cool...
