Peter Jurassik was also in B5.

Ignoring any incidental connections to TRON, B5 is awesome stuff. B5 is quite possibly the best sci-fi show ever made.

I like it so much that I have the whole series, including the TV movies, on DVD.

My advice is that if you should decide to see it, start with the first season. Don' t rent the movies until you have finished the fourth season because they'll give too much away.

I'll second that.

MutoidMan, have you seen Jeremiah?

http://www.jeremiah.tv
It is another great JMS series.

My 5th season DVD set I even had signed by JMS. A couple other web sites that any B5 fan needs to be on top of are these:

http://www.jmsnews.com/
and

http://www.cafepress.com/thejoestore
I've already got the first 6 script books.

I'd agree with that. Here is another site that puts the episodes is an order which is probably better then the aired order.

Just make sure you DON'T start with "Babylon 5: In the Beginning". But "The Gathering" is a great place to start.

I havent' seen any episodes of the second season of Jeremiah, but I really did like what I saw of the first season.

Congrats on the signed fifth season DVD set. I don't go to any conventions (mostly because I don't know anyone willing to go) so my chances of getting my DVD's signed is pretty slim.

I've only got one signed item, and it isn't related to sci-fi. It's a Metallica shirt circa the Metallica album signed by all four Metallicats at the Metallistore that was open for one day in NYC across from Radio City Music Hall.

The six script books sound really cool. I'll have to check them out.

Wwwmwww, were you looking forward to the Babylon 5: Into The Fire space combat simulation PC game?

B5:ITF was going to be an awesome game.

All of the existing ships in the game used the actual models from the show, just with a reduced poly count.

The new ship models that were created for the game were to have been beefed up and used at some point in Crusade, along with the game's new race(s).

The events of the game were going to be official canon, and they had even filmed all of the cutscenes for the game using the actual show sets and the actors from the show. Unfortunately, Havas bought Sierra and killed the project for some unknown reason, and they won't release the cutscenes.

I friggin' hated Havas. Still do.

When the game was canned, there was a bunch of promotional materials left over, so Sierra gave them out to whosoever wanted them for free, minus the cost of shipping. So, I've got a Shadow watch (never worn) and a big game poster. If you'd like, I can take a picture of the poster and watch and post it here.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

The first season is out on DVD and I've got that set. To my knowledge the second season isn't out yet but it is every bit as good as the first if not better. I just wish I had a season 3,4&5 to look forward to.

I don't go to conventions either to be honest. They are all so far away and I never have that much free time. I do however have very good friends that DO go.

Yes I sure was... my friend won the script for the game off eBay. For a long time I was under the impression that JMS himself had written the script but apparently that isn't the case. According to my friend there isn't that much to the script though it sounds like its hard to read as it isn't a linear story and to be honest I'm not sure she's read the whole thing.

This is the third time I looked at your post and everytime I look you've added more.

I remember the Sierra give away and I *think* there were also mouse pads they were giving away that had a 3D effect to them. As I recall I tried to get a mouse pad and they were all out of those by then. Yes please feel free to post pictures. It's been some time since I've seen them. For a while I tried to get the mouse pad off eBay and after losing a few auctions I stopped trying. Maybe more to the point I simply forgot about them until just now. I wonder if they still show up on eBay from time to time.

Cool mouse pad.

When I get back home, I'll take a couple of pics and post 'em.

I was really ticked off when Sierra cancelled the Babylon 5 game. They'd already put so much time and effort into it, that pulling the plug when they were so close to completion made virtually NO sense.

Not to mention those filmed cutscenes that have vanished into the ether. What a tragic waste.

But at least a B5 game did eventually get made, and it's free to boot.

I was also severely ticked off when TNT cancelled Crusade. That show had so much potential.

And B5 itself is definitely one of the best SF shows ever made.

I have the soundtrack to the now abandoned game. I feel for that ebay seller who lost his job due to outsourcing, and now has to declare bankruptsy. That is going to be me one day soon I'm afraid.

Must know more... I know Christopher Franke released soundtracks for many of the Babylon 5 episodes and I also know there is a 4th season episode named "Into the Fire".

http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/countries/us/guide/072.html
Off the top of my head I'm not sure if that is one of the episodes he released a soundtrack for or not. I'll check.

But if the soundtrack for the abandoned game is out there too I HAVE to know more. What's it look like? Where did you get it? Is it still available?

And yes, I too feel for that guy on eBay. I too lost my job due to so much of the semiconductor industry going over seas. It took me 6 months to find another job and had it been any longer then that I would have had to resort to selling off alot of my collections. In fact I've almost come to look ar some of my collections as unemployment insurance.

I also feel bad for that guy. He has a couple of items that I would be interested in, so I might help him out by buying them.

As for the game soundtrack, I'd never heard it was available. Is it something I can find on eBay, or is it downloadable somewhere? Please, give us the details!

It's a really cool poster, and at 22" x 28" it's a nice size. I hope you can find one!

Sorry the picture is at an angle. I had to do that to avoid getting a glare spot either off of the camera flash or my room lights. I would've taken it outside for even lighting without the need for a flash, but the sun had already gone down. If the weather is nice, I'll get a better shot of it on Friday.

Thanks to your link Carl, I was able to look at the back of the CD on eBay and find the website for the company that puts out the Christopher Franke Babylon 5 CD's.

I went to the Sonic Images Records website and found a CD called The Best of Babylon 5.

The description of the album indicates:

This CD was so far only available as a special introductary teaser for the now cancelled Babylon 5 Game, when you bought products from Sierra Online. The Bonus Theme was written by Christopher Franke for the Babylon 5 Game.

BB, is this the CD you have, or do you actually have a CD of the game soundtrack?

Either way, I'm ordering it. I might order a few of the other CD's as well.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Nice bit of detective work there MutoidMan.

These are all the B5 CD's that I'm aware of:

http://www.sonicimages.com/2001/sub/SIR/b5/
Atleast Music CDs anyways. I think there are a couple B5 PC CDs out there, a screen saver and maybe something else too. Maybe it was a music CD included with the screen saver, my memory is failing me at the moment.

I got it in a soundtrack trade once with no cover art or track listing. I'll get it out when I get home and see if I-Tunes pulls up a track listing.

Well, I got it out, put it into iTunes and it did not find a CDDB track listing. There are 8 tracks, the last of which is the one that is labeled on the "Best Of" CD as coming from the video game. The whole thing is 32:09.

I'd be more than happy to make anyone who wants one a copy. Just PM me and we'll work something out. Or I could post them to the video game music newsgroup if you have access to that. I'd rather not do peer-to-peer file sharing (sorry).

Thought I'd take a look at eBay to see if I could find that mouse pad again. No luck but I did find this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6632351354

Its claimed to be a "flexible decal magnet produced in support of the Babylon 5: Into the Fire videogame in 1998."

Cool. I'd never heard of the magnets before. I'd still rather have the mouse pad so I'll keep looking but this makes me wonder just what other promotional materials were made for this game. This must be the most heavily promoted game that's never been made.
