I'll be at the Emerald City Comic convention in Seattle, supposedly promoting the Tron comic. Sadly, the book will not be out for at least a few weeks yet. Subsequently, I will be spending my time throwing Tron postcards at passers-by. If anyone from the sector is local to Seattle, I hope to see you there.
This is the fourth event in the last couple of months I've done for the comic (and I have a fifth waiting for me as soon as I get back from Seattle). Response has been very good. In fact, at the last two conventions the promo copy of the comic was stolen less than an hour into the first day (hopefully because the thieves were fans). Leaving me with nothing other than my natural charm to sell the comic with. Well, that and a seven foot Tron poster behind my table. People seemed to like that more than my charm. I've only had a few people think I'm working on a Matrix rip off. And only two people think that I'm ripping off the game "Armagetron". The first of those was some time ago, the second just a couple weeks. I suspect there will be more.
Oh, and I've now been told by a fan that the only reason the comic is coming out is to promote the new Kingdom of Hearts game.
But I still enjoy it all.
Anyway, Seattle. April first and second.

Have they shown up on eBay? If not, then yes, they were fans and consider that a compliment... of sorts.

I expected that one, too.

But this, I didn't expect. LMAO. Good grief . . . how could anyone playing Armagetron NOT know that it's based on Tron. Even the web site for the game makes that painfully clear.
It's great to hear that the comic has peaked a lot of interest. I hope it's really successful: for your sake, SLG's sake, and Tron's sake.

I'm back! The convention was fun, though the crowd responded better in New York than in Seattle. I wonder why?
Traahn came out and visited! And I didn't even think to take a picture.

Were you there? I wanted to go, but between all the other shows and moving and writing, I just couldn't do it. How was it?

Weird! I have a stack of those set aside for people at the Sector, but I have been to lazy to ship them. Boingo, did you already send me your address?

I actually spent a day in Portland on the way to the show (going to the stores on Hawthorne, mostly. That and locking my keys in the van). But I had no internet access until last night so I did not see your post. Of course, I still would not have had an issue to give you, but I could have shown you the preview material. Ah well.

I wuld agree with KIa on that one the poster looks great there And sorry for the double post here. The enter key is being finiky here with me here the one that I am working with through the KVM connection with my linux box. I am going to have to get it replaced here somewhere. I think I still have that fellows keyboard laying around.
I don't think up here in or near montreal at least that we have the comic book conventions. I remember the comdexs from long time ago. Which was great. My blood pressure nearly went through the roof on it. Since it was totally neat to go to.
If the admins could delete the second post for me please.

Aww yeah! Lurkinghorror in the house!! That was a cool convention and it was great meeting up with 'the lurker'!!! He had great words of wisdom and insights, and some philosophical things I'd never thought of about in Tron. I felt like I was talking to the Tron master. Lurkinghorror is the first official Tron-Sectorite I've met now. Props to him for getting the Tron comicbook to where it is today and where it will be quite soon! (in stores near you!!) Subliminal message to all: Reserve and buy, reserve and buy, reserve and buy...

This is more than likely wrong. Yes wrong. I've just finished the TRON world, and without revealing any information, it has almost nothing to do with , or anything else.
Also Kingdom Hearts 2 does not need any promotion whatsoever. It's like a Final Fantasy game, as soon as it comes out, fans know

Hmm, that sucks (regarding KH:2). At least they have a few of the characters from Tron. I haven't played the game, don't even have a PS2, but saw the promo vids.

That's too bad. I think this was the first year for the Emerald City Comicon. Maybe it will pick up steam in future years... ? Hopefully...
There was sure some amazing art talent there, including Adam Hughes -- who is a pretty popular comicbook artist. People sketching comicbook type images right there. Quite impressive to watch.

The purpose of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts is not to replay the storyline that was already done in the movie. It's to present an interactive environment with the characters and scenery from the films, but centered around the KH storyline. It's nothing bad, that's how it's always been. The NMBC world in the first game had nothing to do with the film, it just had its elements.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlineorder abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill |

Right. That's why I don't think the comic for was created to advertise for KH. I just think Disney is trying to push to be a somewhat interesting thing now, as in this day and age it really should be.
