Deadly Disks Wrote:I just tried a guinness the other day at a local Irish pub. I'm more of a lager drinker, but for a dark ale I really enjoyed the Guinness!
I got a six pack in bottles the other day. Not quite as good as right off the tap of course, but I still liked it.
I think I'll have one or two with dinner tonight! |
but it's important what kind of Guinness you got bottle wise. was is stout or draught? draught is much, much better in my humble opinion...

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
At work today, we all enjoyed our yearly tradition of Shamrock Shakes. Actually, the tradition just started last year, but it is now a tradition. I mean, we were all looking forward to it for the last week at least.
Those things are great! But the trick is getting just the right amount of Shamrock Shake. Too much can be very bad. Last year, many of us got large sized ones. They star off great! They're so wonderfully yummy! By about two thirds through my shake last year, I started getting really sick of it. Like an idiot, I still finished it, but I felt really sick to my stomach after doing so. Several other employees experienced the same feelings about theirs. Many of them were smart enough to stop when they got sick of it. But the ones who got small shakes, didn't have that problem.
This year, most of us got the medium sized shakes. And it was JUST right! I enjoyed every bit of that green shake of mystery ingredients to the fullest!
One problem we all had at first was getting it up the straw though. Man - those things are more like ice cream at first! I collapsed my straw over and over trying to get that first sip up through. I finally had to microwave it and mush it about to get it started. But once started, it was yummy green delight!
Today was a crappy-damn awful day at the office and so many things went wrong. BUT I had the pleasure of that wonderful Shamrock Shake and all that other BS kind of melted away for a brief time. Shamrock Shakes rock!
