ok, i was watching this show on tv while i was at the gym. it is absolutely dire. but i thought it might be a fun thing to replicate on here.
we could take photos of some of the rooms in our houses, post them on here, show off any artwork hanging on our walls, any collectibles you have, and that includes tron stuff
what do you think? good idea? bad idea?

ok, here's my photos... well, all the ones i took before my camera batteries died.
ok, starting at the top and working down. this is my bedroom. you can tell this because i'm the only one in my family who puts posters/pictures on my bedroom walls. here you can see a huge map of ole' blightey, which i plan to replace with a huge ghost in the shell poster, and a piece of artwork by kimmo lemetti [ http://www.gotmorr.com], which i am particularly fond of.
this is the other side of my bedroom. you can see my old poke'mon card collection, my collection of star wars vehicles, a papier mache' bird i made when i was 5, and [my favourite thing in this pic] a statue of jesus on the cross made out of old bullets.
my desk. a mess as usual. not sure why the coat hangers are there. anyway. you can see here 3 of my 4 most prized posessions: 1, my computer. 2, my mobile phone. 3, my ipod, and 4 [most prized of all] is my teddy bear. the first present i ever got. very sentimental.
lounge. pretty standard stuff. tv, video and dvd player, hi fi stereo. comfy chairs and several paintings. the one above the tv was done by my dad's old teacher. another one is on the opposite wall.
said opposite wall, with said other painting. and a cuddly sheep. and another comfy chair
random photo of our dvd collection... or part of it. see what dvds you can see.
there's a rabbit sitting on me!!! cuteness overload!
finally, the kitchen. nothing very special. tv, old microwave oven. new electric oven, a barrel of home made beer. kettle, toaster, and someone left the butter out of the fridge again.! words of wisdom from...

all I have right now is this pic of my computer setup.
thats my unmade bed in the righthand corner, the furry thing on the floor is a deerskin rug my mother bought me off of ebay a while ago. My Computer desk is covered with bits of anomalous material as usual. Underneath you can see the big black box that is my subwoofer.

it took me a while to remember, and i did some digging. and i found it here . you can find some really, really good stuff there!
all i did to poster-ize it was print it out on 4 normal sheets of printer paper, cut off the margins, lined the pages up and cellotaped them together.
i did the same thing with the doom 3 poster, the painting by Kimmo Lemetti, and a huge picture of a half life 2 strider on another wall.
Nice to see we have similar tastes... Tron, SW, FFX... Toss in a bit of LOTR and it'll look like my apartment! LOL

i doubt you have the huge map or britain though.
also the only two LOTR things i would put on my wall would be either a close up of a ringwraith [it would be amazing if it was lifesize], but that would go through about 10 black ink cartridges , or a picture of the balrog, because that thing is legendary! words of wisdom from...

Since I took quite a lot of pics, I thought it'd be easier to link to my directory. ;
http://kiapurity.leamonde.net/images/irlpics/digital/room/room06/
Some of the pictures are a bit blurry because my hands shakes sometimes. Sorry.
Edit-- Btw, there's three games in the PS2 collection that aren't mine. They're my brother's but they're in my room since I own the only PS2. Heheheh. (NCAA, GTA3, MVP Baseball are his.)
And there's a C64 book on my bed which is really a big black binder with all of my c64 pics/designs/artwork/comics in it. (Two pages shows the two comics from Metal Gear Kia 2.)
...and yes, I'm still working on that blasted Memories: Deus Ex Machina as you can see on that sketch book. ;_;
(and I had to tape down that butterfly wand thing to the tv so the lightcycles wouldn't roll off. >>) Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

Very nice looking cribs, Prankster bit, Capt_Capacitor and MutoidMan!
I don't have much to look at around my place. Most of the house is decorated by the wife and looks very... well, pretty. Nothing of major coolness or anything - just the kind of stuff other women might dig (if they're in to home interior decorating stuff).
And my computer room... is a bloody mess!
Sorry - no photos of this crib. Ain't much to see anyway.
Back in the day - it would have been cool to take photos of my old bedroom about 20-some years ago. I had a really cool area of the room set up like the Hoth battle from The Empire Strikes Back and many other cool toys on display. Didn't have a computer in the bedroom, but had lost of cool stuff like hend-held video games (most of which I still have), Armatron (still have), ROM Space Knight (still have), other robotic toys, some puppets, Lego things, and a zillion other odd toys and electrical gadgets. My room was always a mess, but it was a COOL-damn mess!

@ Nik
I got the tv when I moved in that room since it's got cable, heehee. However, I'm giving the tv to my brother once I move out and get a better tv. (I'm never getting a tv/vcr combo again. The recording on it is awful and sometimes it won't play certain tapes right, ugh!) Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.
