My Tron Lightcycles

Hey don't know if anybody's seen my LEGO lightcycles, but they've been on brickshelf.com for, oh, at least a year i think.

Check 'em out, let me know what you think. I like playing around w/ Legos via MLCad, so I may try to build the tank in the future.

i have the ldr files somewhere, though no directions are made. I also have some mini-lightcycles made out of just a few legos, so they should be a lot easier to piece together.

Nice... looking at the sequence of images it looks like you could almost make an animation. I can almost picture the bike being "built" around the rider as he falls forward one lego brick at a time. The crash sequences could also be quite fun to animate with legos.

Keep up the good work,
Carl

Greetings, StellarVision and welcome to TRON-Sector!

I know you've been a member for about a year and a half, but I figured I'd give you the old standard, substandard greeting anyway since you've finally decided to post.

I love your Lego-TRON images. You did a nice job on those. Would you mind if I archived them here in TRON-Sector's image gallery under fan art? I'd put them in a gallery under your name.

Yeah - I agree. It would be cool to see those animated and have the light cycles build around the cyclist, etc. You should consider working on some animation with your Lego models.

A couple of threads you may want to hit are:

What's with your name?

And...

Don't forget to PING in every time you have yourself Another dose of TRON

I think you'll enjoy your time here at The Sector

Thanks. That would be terrific if you want to archive the pictures; I'd be thrilled to have them on this site too. Also I appreciate the welcome, I signed up a while ago, but finally got around to posting. I hope to visit more frequently though in the future.

I rendered the images with a ray-tracing program, but there might be a way to make an animation; haven't tried it yet. Sounds like a fun project. I'd love it if I could get the lighting and the glow closer to the movie as well.

Your Lego-style light cycle images have been uploaded and can be found in the fan art gallery here:
