Sweet fluffy white snow covered the area last night! Whee! It's great to see a little snow for once that actually covers the ground. It also snowed Saturday so this double treatment is wonderful. Too bad it's all going to melt by mid day. Makes me want to go outside with a full bladder and write my name... just kidding.  
Today is going to be a good day.

I have heard that in some parts of the country, moisture falls from the sky,sometimes in frozen form. I would like to see that someday, it would be interesting.

We occasionally experieince such phenomenon here in Southern California, but only on rare occasions. It is fascinating. Everything gets wet.

Oh no you don't! Trust me, we get crap loads of the stuff during winter and it stays and it wreaks more havoc than Godzilla, the MCP, and quite possibly two Ninjas taped together COMBINED! And did I ever mention the killer iceicles that would be more than happy to fall on you? Take some advice from a Canadian who gets snow for 4 months out of the year, you really don't want snow.

In wyoming it likes to come down sideways. We somtimes get snow in july. Its fun, and people drive crazily in it.

I kinda miss snow here in KS.
We used to have like, snow all the time, but now... we'd be lucky if it snows three times a winter. O_o

Man, I loved the approximately two feet of snow I saw in my area.
I've got a 2001 Chevy Tahoe and I just recently bought a new set of tires: Goodyear Fortera TripleTred all-season SUV-specific tires. They are one of the few all-season tires to receive Mountain Snowflake Certification, which is something normally reserved for snow tires.
So what does this mean? It means I easily barreled through the three-foot snow drifts in the supermarket parking lots. It means I had no problem driving through the about 18-inch deep snow covering the streets that hadn't been plowed. It means that while everyone else was crawling down the highway, I was able to go down the highways at about 35 to 40 MPH and the tires felt like they had pleny of grip.
It means I had a freakin' blast! I love snow! Woohoo!

Snow? What's snow? I used to know this thing called snow. We got literally tons of it every Winter. That's why the country I live in was nicknamed "The Great White North".
But lately? For the last 2 years, we've gotten very little. Well, where I live, anyway. More often that not this Winter, if you went outside it felt like Spring.
Do I miss it? Kind of. But I certainly don't mind not having to shovel the driveway, for a change. Or worry about slippery roads.

Hehe...I'm not in Canada, but here is Wisconsin we get our share of the white stuff and I hear ya! After I graduated high school, and found out that there are no snow days in the Real World, snow ceased to appeal to me

It's snowing right now here in upstate, NY.
We didn't get the major snowfall that I heard NYC got, but it's snowing pretty good right now. Probably just a couple of inches worth - nothing major.
This winter has been relatively mild for us. The snow hasn't accumulated much, which is just fine by me. I HATE driving through the damn stuff. More accurately put, I hate getting stuck in sloooooooooooooow traffic when the roads get bad. Nothing like spending half your day in the car trying to get to work and back.
We got it pretty good last winter, but not much this winter. I like it this way. Honestly, I haven't much enjoyed snow since I was about 15. It was fun as a kid - sledding was a blast and there's nothing like building snow-forts and snowmen and stuff. As soon as I had to start driving in it, it became a nuisance.
If I never saw snow again, I would not miss it at all. But while I live here where it snows - it's just part of the cost of living in this area. It looks pretty, but is a pain to have to drive in.
One more thing, thanks to Sketch and his little comment about writing his name in the snow, I have written "TRON" in the snow for all to enjoy! It's glowing a bright yellow - and that ain't no photo editing trick either!
