Tron 2.0 and SLI systems

on Wednesday, February, 08, 2006 3:47 PM
Anyone out there using a SLI dual graphics setup and running Tron2.0? I know it wont benefit much if at all from 2 graphics GPU's but a few games don't tolerate this well. Im getting ready to start building a new gaming rig and want to try to avoid a few pitfals. Here is the propsed system layout:

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dual Core
XFX PVT70GUDF7 Geforce 7800GT Video Card (x2 for SLI)
2gb Corsair XMS DDR400 memory (1gbx2)
Creative SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Fatal1ty
Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6V300F0 300GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
Pioneer Black 16X DVD-R/DVD+R Dual layer burner
COOLMAX CP-500T EPS12V 500W Active PFC Power Supply
POWMAX MATXARC-1 Blue Clear Acrylic MicroATX Mid Tower Case

Opinions Welcome. Only component bought so far is the Case from newegg

Thanks

Unfortunately, I can't say I know anything about this. I don't have an SLI setup or know anyone that does, who also has Tron 2.0.

Honestly, I can't see it not working. The SLI setup is supposed to be transparent to the game. The video driver does all the work. The situations where games don't work well on an SLI setup must be pretty rare.

Tron 2.0 doesn't even need an SLI setup. It's not as demanding as F.E.A.R., by a long-shot. The game will run so fast you might end up disabling SLI instead. And that's always a solution if you have a problem. Just disable SLI for any game that doesn't like it. It's basically just a checkmark option you can turn on and off in the nVidia control panel.

Nice setup, BTW. I won't be upgrading until later this year, at the earliest. And even then, I won't be getting SLI . . . too expensive for me.

Sounds like it'll be a fast rig. A brother's friend has SLI and it rules; or so I hear. He can turn graphics up all the way on games with no slow-down. Age of Empires 3, for example; among others. I haven't seen it in-person, but it sounds like it rocks.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online
