That was pretty cool, even if it did pop an ad asking me which "Man Thong" was the funniest after I clicked the link.
I could have done without that.

I would have loved to watch that clip. But I've always had trouble with ifilm.com. This particular time, I got to watch an advertisement about the institute of what makes people laugh research (or something like that), and see some horrific image of "what guy has the funniest thong" image on the right. EWWWWWWWW!
Well, right after the Monty Python guy (forget his name) funny institute commercial, my browsers all crashed. Did I want to send a report when they crashed? ONLY if that report can include an image of my middle f-cking finger in the face of MS!
I don't think it's just my computer either - I've had trouble with ifilm on my work computers in the past too. I really don't like that site - so many cool things and such an unstable site... well, maybe it's just me. Any computer I sit at doesn't like that site. Oh well.
My attention span is too short tonight to try getting their damn pop-up player to work for me. Why pop-ups? Most web sites that offer video content have no problem with embedding the video right in the page or a frame. I hate having to watch video in pop-ups... next to guys in thongs!

Im not sure if I really liked it. I suppose it was a pretty good attempt. Maybe I should try to have a go at it.

It appeared to me as profound, I liked the arrangement, the pattern of a holy algorithym, the torture, and recognition that a gift of grace is to be saved. Justin did a great job in my opinion.

Cool. Like the music. Goes well with the vidoe with it's sythetic sounds.

FF,
Try switching to Quicktime if you are using media Player. I had the same problem earlier. DaveTRON

I got to watch this music video on break at work today. I wasn't expecting anything great, and I was pleasantly surprised how well it was done!
Justin Alt did a great job working with the TRON footage and making it take on an interesting meaning and feel to the Depeche Mode song. I couldn't turn up the volume much at work, so most of the lyrics were obscured to me, but the film went very well to the music the way it was edited. I was impressed and delighted.
Great find, DaveTRON!
Ok - so who's going to contact Justin and see if he'll let us keep a copy of the film here in our file archives?

I wasn't so lucky. I just went back to the site to see if I could find his contact information, and there was that blinding-damn man-thong crap at the top, in banner form. AHHHHHHHH!
redrain85 Wrote:I personally can't stand IFilm either. Their site is infested with pop-ups and ads, which makes the site so annoying that's it's not worth the hassle to watch the videos. |
Word!
redrain85 Wrote:But I made an exception this time. Cool video. Funny enough, that Depeche Mode track really does fit well with the footage used from Tron. It's a bit . . . eerie, even. |
Yes, Justin did a great job. I really want his contact information to see if we can get his blessing to host the video here as well. TRON-Sector is the world's largest online archive and showcase of all things TRON. I'd say this qualifies and I'd like to add it. Plus, no pop-ups here.
Ok - if anyone would like to do a little research and get his contact information, I'd appreciate it. I can't find anything on ifilm.com (but didn't spend much time looking as the site is annoyingly slow and every other page has an advertisement that slows down navigation).
Anyway - please PM me his contact info if you can find it. Thanks!

I was online, and bumped into Justin a few weeks ago, on Tron 2.0, DM, we talked about alot of stuff, this video was also one subject, I'm really happy he created such a awesome video! Bravo!
It's equally cool to see tron fans on the grid!

Ok, I finally took some time to find Justin's e-mail. I sent him an e-mail asking for his blessing to immortalize the music video here at TRON-Sector in the file archives.
We'll soon see if he's cool with that, or if we have to BEAT it out of him!

Yep - got in touch with Justin Alt and he's cool with it!
Now this cool mix of TRON and Depeche Mode will be available here at TRON-Sector for TRON fans to stumble across for many, many micro cycles to come!
Here's the link:
http://www.tron-sector.com/archives/default.aspx?do=gallery§ion=1&category=9&group=TRON%20Inspired%20Music%20Videos
It's currently the bottom link in the TRON Inspired Music Videos section.
Hmm... should this get a main page blurb? It hasn't been updated in a couple of weeks... and it is a cool TRON-based music video that works amazing well with the music selection...
