Hey Sketch!!!!

Sorry to bug ya, bud... but I'm kind of interested in what type of graphical software that you use with your art.

Reason why I'm asking is because there are some ideas I've been kicking around lately and all I've been using is Pain_Shop_Pro_7.

Oh... one last thing... Do you know of any software where I can take a photo and convert it to a cell shade? I always wanted to convert some of my photos to look like a cartoon drawing.

Thanks... order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and to animate stuff like my avatar I have Adobe Image Ready. I use a Graphire series 4"x5" Wacom drawing tablet. If I have a drawing done on paper I have a regualr scaner. Now if a drawing is too large, I use my Kodak easy share digital camera. I just did a red chalk drawing on 24"x 36" newspring paper, and now am retooling the design in photoshop.

Cell shade... I don't have a program, nor do know if there is one for photographs. In phtotoshop the closest thing to a cell shade look might be Filter>Artistic>Poster Edges. Still it's a bit lacking, though it does simplify colors into ranges with black line type areas. Though it has very rough textured look.

Your best bet would be applying a layer above the image and outlining it in photoshop, or paint shop pro, which you have.

You could aslo print the image out, get some wet media acetate (it's a plastic sheet type of material, can be found at hardwearstores), and get a technical pen, nibs, and ink. Tape the image down and the plastic down over the image and outline it. Might take some time, but the great thing is if you mess up, you can wipe up the ink before it dries, or if it does dry just scratch off the error area with your fingernail. I learned this process in silkscreen class when I needed to transfer a line drawing to the silkscreen, since the copier left lines in the transparent transfer sheets. After that you can just scan the image into your computer and save it.

Hey, thanks for the input. I'm going to take a look into the apps.

I took your advice. I created a layer in PaintShop and traced the contours and so on and this was the result.

It was easier than I thought, but it did take me about 30 mins for this one. That's why it's so small...

This is from a photo of me back in 1999. The back ground is from the Amiga game 'Nitro'...

Thanks again, Sketch... It's input like this that really helps me out.

You mean an actual 3D cgi program?

If so, nope. I've never messed around with any 3D software before. I want to look into the 3D class on campus, just to at least see what all there is and what's involved. I've got alot of people on campus telling me I need to try out 3D cause of my art. Actually I've got people pokeing me too.

I might try to squeeze it into my semester, if I'm able. Iv'e still got other art classes to worry about first.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I've been using TrueSpace. It's a little like 3D studio max but more of a buget app (well... sort of). I can't really say weather or not programs like that are hard to learn because I only use them to do simple designs.

If you do take a sem. in it, I think they'll set you up with either 3D studio or Maya. So if you do, good luck with it. I'm always looking forward to see what future art projects you produce.

lol... I had a hard time with his eyes comparing it to his picture. There was a heavy shadow so I had to play around with the image. Also, he has a really odd eye color. It's like stone grey or something.

I can't get over how easy this is. It does take some time, but it's really fun to do. I'm thinking about doing some Tron images soon to see if I can mimic the glowing curitry... If so, I'll post it in the forums...
