New episodes of BSG are starting again tonight. Well, in the U.S. anyway. About time, too. Having to wait months to see the resolution of the cliff-hanger, is just cruel on the part of Sci-Fi.
I found something new on Sci-Fi's official Battlestar Galactica site, that I wanted to share with you all. I don't know about you guys, but I really get a kick out of those short R&D animations at the end where the producers beat each other up in comedic fashion.
Well, if you go to http://www.scifi.com/battlestar you'll see a link that says "Watch R&D TV animations online". If you click that, it'll take you to a summary of the first episode. On the bottom, you'll see the link to the first animation. Then all you need to do is use the drop-down menu at the top, to move through all the episodes, and click on each new animation link that comes up.
I think my favorite one is when David throws Ron out the window, and he gets run over by a car.
There's even a tribute to Westworld in one of them . . . cool.

The start of season 2 is due to start in the UK this Tuesday. Although I wasn't very impressed by season 1 it left a hell of a cliffhanger and I'm undecided if I want to see how it resolves itself in the next 7 episodes. Maybe I'll decide on the day, if I even remember if its on.
I've just watched the whole season 4 of Enterprise. Paramount cancelled just as it was getting real good and I'm going to miss it. Looks like I'll have to wait until the new series of Doctor Who to get my dose of sci-fi.

I thought the new BSG episode was good, no question. But somehow, it wasn't as tight as the previous episode was. The pacing was a bit off. If you listen to the latest podcast, you'll find out that they expanded the story from one to two episodes, and padded out the story to fill those two episodes.
Still, that isn't enough to prevent me from giving it high marks.
SPOILERS:
I thought the idea of a ressurection ship is something really different from the norm in typical sci-fi shows. Which is good.
And the scene where Admiral Cain is in the cell with Gina, is really tense. You know that if Baltar wasn't there, it would have gotten ugly again.
The ending is a "I can't believe this is happening" moment. Two military leaders in the same fleet, planning to assassinate each other?
