It doesn't surprise me.
Dogs are VERY terrorital and will go after people if they think their master is being harmed or something.
(I've also been bitten by a very upset chiahuana before... it didn't really hurt that much.)

I have too, it surprises me he got rushed to the hospital. Getting bitten by a chihuahua doesn't hurt that bad...
By the way it's not chiahuana (that sounds like CHEEAH-WAH-NA) but it's actually chihuahua (CHEE-WAH-WAH)

... That doesn't help me, Hikaru. I know I misspell a lot and the pronouncation really does not help me... just doesn't.

i've always said "chih" instead of "chee"
anyway, that sounds like a pretty weedy policeman if you ask me.
i have no idea how much a chihuahua bite would hurt because...well... i've never recieved one, but considering their size, i wouldn't think it would hurt very much. i suppose it depends where he got bitten. i suppose if it was his arms and legs, then that would be ok, but...other areas...may need medical attention.

Sorry... I was just trying to help. Hardly anybody knows how to spell Chihuahua. I used to spell it Chiwauwauo.

That's okay. I don't really talk about it that much. ^^;
And with that being said, I so totally understand about how dogs are all territorial(sp) and wanting to protect their families. XP (I've got a dog of my own living with me at my parents' house with other five dogs...)
