i installed the game again but i can`t patch it
my computer shows only an error message

Where did you get the patch you are using to patch it? What is the name of the file? You might have the wrong patch.

Norbert,
Try this:
(NOTE: Text by Redrain85) Use this patch instead:
http://tronforum.boxhat.com/misc/progs/tron-update_v1x042ceng.exe
Don't use the other ones any more, this one will update any version of the game to the latest so you can play online.
If you still have problems, you might have too many custom maps installed.
