Has anyone played "Rez"? It's a synestetic video game which has a very heavy amount of influence from TRON. Problem is, prices are high on this -- up to $500.

Thier are a few threads that have mentioned rez, i totally love the game. I got mine off ebay for $45 something like that. I also got this thingy

I have Rez. Pretty neat game, one of the first I ever owned on the PS2 because of it's TRON-like visuals. I kept it instead of selling it off because of its replayability.

I've been meaning to ask the same thing in the Kingdom Hearts thread as I've never seen that game either. Atleast there I've seen a few pics... I'm half tempted to get it for my boys for Christmas just to see what its about.
I need to get out of my box more...

It's definately an interesting concept. Its main roots are in the classic shooters, in that you're aiming at something and picking it off.
However there is a lot of strategy involved in that you can select multiple targets and shoot them with one shot. You pretty much have to master this because as the game goes on there is so much happening at once that if you try and shoot things individually you fall behind and then can't catch up.
That, unfortunately, is one of the more frustrating points of the game. In some spots (the ending in particular) if you don't do everything perfect you're screwed.
