Hello friends 
Just now, this last hour i found my cheapish wacom tablet and realised i've never used it properly! what a shame. so i went and did these 3 sketches for a family i know, what do'u guys think?? I think i'll try it more often.
isn't jannes just the cutest !

Drawings look great. The style has a 19340's feel to it, especially the singular dot eyes and using one color and it's lighter shade. Nice use of lines to outline the figure, as well as shading to contrast a sense of shadow and bring the figure out visually. Got any more drawings? Would love to see more. 
I like the arrow one the best. Good stance on that one.

sketch this is such a useful response, thanks. do you mean 1930s/40s? I really wasn't going for any kind of style, but now you say that i guess they are quite stylised. i wish i had more drawings like these but i've only ever used computer art for cartoons, like the ones in my fan art section. I do a lot of life drawing on my course, extensive drawing practice is so valued for animation, i'l try to get some more of these done if you, sketch, like them maybe some tron ones next time. Does the one of alec look a little winnie the pooh to you?

Opp, musta hit the 3 and didn't notice. Yeah, 30's and 40's in general is what I think of. Those dot eyes was a trait of that era. Even the bump nose gives it that look too. It's in the simplicity of the drawing. Norman Rockwell even did that in some of the toons he drew.
I've got some links you might love to see for drawing references that might come in handy. Just let me know and I'll PM you the links.
Yeah, now that you mention it, the alec one does have a Whinne the Pooh feel.
Looking at your strokes, they seem 100% solid. Do you have your tablets pressure sensitivity drivers on?

these are pretty cool, i like the detail that is added by the total simplicity of it [using one colour, etc]
and now i'm being really picky  :
but [since i take this hobby as well] i see absolutely no way how the archer is going to shoot a bow like that.
but then, in this case, it doesn't matter because it's the artwork that counts!

The sketches are simple, yet very expressive at the same time. Sketch articulated the style very well, but that was my first thought when I looked at them.
