I was told this morning that the local news had coverage of the West Hollywood party and there were two TRON guys out there.

I am seeking video as we speak.

Me personally, I dressed all in black and handed out candy.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I was resident candyman at my Tron-sector, so I didn't have a costume.

Thought about going as a young Papa Smurf, I have a cool white tee, and a red sweatshirt, And I was gonna put on some blue makeup!!

I was in the grocery store and was in line next to the Halloween version of Ebeneezer Scrooge..

"I hate Halloween", she says to me "Why do I have to buy candy for someone else's kids?!!!"

I wasn't overly in the mood so I just ignored her and she groused to the checker instead.

I handed out candy. Seems like the popular costume last night was........*gasp* Darth Vader.

Man - I haven't dressed up for Halloween in YEARS! I miss doing that. I just don't have the time these days. My last real costume was in 1993. I dressed up as Freddy Krueger and went to a costume contest at a local bar. Didn't win anything, but I got to dance with Elvira Mistress of the Dark... or a reasonable facsimile. I got my claw caught in her wig accidentally at one point - was a little awkward and pretty funny - we were connected momentarily as she tried to straighten her wig back out and remove my blades.

Yeah - that's really me in 1993! The background is obviously fake, but I am not - took HOURS to glue on all my makeup and MONTHS before hand to make (from scratch) the facial appliances. I took that stuff VERY seriously back in the day... when I actually used to have time on my hands!

Maybe I'm crazy...

But how many people wore Tron costumes? I know in my area you would have seen a rather green-looking me running around being idiotic and insane...and insisting that I WASN'T an MP with a tennis ball...abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

TheReelTodd, that Freddy costume was awesome!

But man, yeah . . . I can just imagine the time and patience required to glue all that stuff on. Still, the end result was worth it!

In this place don´t exist "Halloween" is "Day of Dead" is a holiday more serious and religious, Normally is boring when they are these days here, but well, when is "Halloween", I like see "Nightmare Before Christmas"

That's odd. I never thought of Halloween as more of an American holiday. I thought it was international.

Hrm..

Freddy was burned to death initially, so he has no hair.

Thank you! Yeah - it took a lot of time, but I enjoyed the process. I used to start working on the facial appliances in August each year (did Freddy costume 6 years in a row - '93 was the last). A little work here, a little work there... THREE hours putting it on and TRYING not to sweat it all back off... and a few hours after that, I would pretty much have sweated most of it off anyway. But it was a cool look that no mask could ever accomplish. And though I never won any costume contests, I freaked out a lot of people and wow'd even more. Was a lot of fun!

Hmm - I've heard it is more serious in other countries. Around here, it's kind of turned in to an excuse to spend lots of money on candy and costumes and play dress up! It is a very commercial holiday.

And The Nightmare Before Christmas ROCKS! Such an awesome film that works for TWO holidays... or anytime really.

I think he meant my hair.

But yeah - Freddy doesn't have any hair because he was burned alive, which is mainly what gives him that awful and creepy look. Well, I couldn't very well go around like Freddy with hair now, could I? So for that one day, I had to have no hair, and really long nails.

What can I say? I'm a master of disguise!

You know - elaborating on this a little more...

In 1988, the first year I dressed up as Freddy Krueger, I was dating a Cambodian girl. Though my Freddy-look was not as refined and as close to the film Freddy as seen in the image above, I still transformed myself in to a very ugly, disfigured, burned-looking character. I remember when I went to my girlfriend's house... wait a minute... this was kind of our first date, so I guess she was just about to become my girlfriend. Anyway, her family was still very Cambodian and many of them didn't speak English or know much of American culture. They kind of still lived their Cambodian way in their house while their kids attended regular American schools and all. When I entered the house, my girlfriend's mother and aunts screamed with great fear as they jumped back against the walls as if they had just seen a REAL walking dead person. I kid you not - their reaction to me was amazing - I mean to them, I was a REAL living-dead monster. I wish I could have gotten that on video! They were totally spooked and scared, running from me as I tried to approach them and screaming things in Cambodian. I took off my glove to show them it was not real blades, but they darted away from me. My girl was laughing the whole time and told me to wait while she tried to explain to them. Remember - I was not wearing any masks or anything fake looking - it looked very real to them and they were very scared. After a while and some convincing from my girlfriend, they cautiously let me approach them and show them my glove and face close up. I pulled up my sweater to show them that the makeup ended just below where the neck line was. Even after they were convinced I was not a walking dead monster, they still did not want to be in close proximity to me. It was really kind of strange, though very amusing at the same time. I can't remember if my girlfriend gave me the whole back story on Cambodian tradition, but I do remember her saying that Halloween is not celebrated there as it is here and that her family thought that in America, the dead really did walk the streets one night a year. I had forgotten all about that until Astrozombbie's post.

Well, as Freddy might say...

You may have killed me, but I'm not DEAD.

Hah, kind of a funny story there, Todd...
And that's true, I always forget that a lot of other countries treat Halloween differently then we Americans do.

In any case, sweet costume! Just out of curiosity, did you have something up on the 'net about how you did that costume?

Thanks - glad you dig my costume of 12 years ago.

Did I put something on the net about it?

Oh man - that was kind of just before the internet as we know it. If memory serves, the (modern) internet really took off in 1994. Anyway, I wasn't online personally until 1996. I took video, kind of time lapse (1-second intervals for each minute) of me applying the makeup, and I took video (video stills) of the appliances in their various stages of completion. I'm sure I've got the video around somewhere... just not sure where right now. If/when I find it, I'll try to take some time to digitize it and post a link. Of course, Halloween will be way out of season by then... but I'll post it anyway (again - if I find the old VHS video of it).
