Yeah, I'm not sure what it's from though. Bullet shaped container, with a push button switch on the bottom. There was a long spring laying next to it about the same size. I think it might be something automotive. It's a neat little thing.

You know... some kids do put those on their cars as "running lights" these days, although I haven't seen that in a while. Score for you though!!!!!!

Sketch - those are some cool images you captured - I love the look you got with the colors! And Robo-Cop almost looks life like in the top right photo! Cool things lighting can do, huh?

Thanks. It's a self portrait, a rough sketch in marker for an assignemt in digital illustration. This design I'm going for that 70's android look with the removable face like from Westworld or Futureworld. I've never seen the films, just seen screenshots and poster art.
If anyone else has little camera tricks or experiments, post them. We could have some fun with this thread.

It's been a long time since I saw Westworld but I remember being freaked out by it. I'm not sure I ever saw future world.
I do know Westworld was a big influence for the famous "Itchy And Scratchy Land" episode. Especially when the one technician pulls the face off a robot and it screams... and the tech says "I wish they wouldn't do that...."

Everyone needs to see Westworld, at least once. It's a kick-ass movie, for its time. Futureworld . . . eh. I can see why people wouldn't like it, but I still got a kick out of Futureworld. (Despite Peter Fonda's and Blythe Danner's horrible acting.)
I'd love to see the Futureworld (aka Beyond Westworld) TV series, too. Never got a chance to see it. It was very short-lived. Connie Selleca was in it!
Anyhow . . . great new avatar, Sketch! Westworld was the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

well, it's not really a camera trick per se, but i filmed one of my pet rabbits doing a magic trick.[with the help of my sister.]
all it really is is that the rabbit picks a card out of, say, 4, my sister puts it back in the set of 4, and the rabbit somehow manages to pick the same card.
it doesn't sound like much, but as rabbits go, i think it's pretty amazing.
i doubt i'm going to post it on here, i have no way of uploading it other that the member upload thing, and i don't think a magical rabbit has any place on a Tron website.

I had some fun back in college taking pics using my pentax. I would take 2 of each shot and render them on my comp using this simple 3D imaging program. If you have a pair of 3D anaglyph (red/cyan) glasses, it actually works quite well.

I was into strange and interesting compositions at the time.
