My first game was Pong I think I was 3 or 4...I had to stand on a chair to reach the controls.

I always liked the Addams Family one... where Thing would come out and grab the ball. Dunno why... that one was always fun.

I remember seeing that at Best Buy, but for some reason I think it was truncated right? Meaning not the whole game. If I can't get every level the arcade had then I don't want to play it
Dragon's Lair and TRON are like the best that had every came from our modren culture. |
I was young, but not young enough to pump quarters constantly into it trying to solve each pattern. Man, when I finally killed the dragon that was SUCH an awesome feeling. Finally it got to the point where I could do the game without even losing a Dirk.
I remember there were several follow-up games to it, but I didn't have the heart to go through it all again.
Space Ace: wonderful graphics, seemed like the patterns were a little harder and a little fussier about timing
Dragon's Lair 2: Only saw this once in a non-local arcade. Played it, and died a couple times, then never touched it again.
Thayer's Quest: Wierd one. Had a keyboard and was VERY hard. Only played this a few times.

I understand. Plus, nothing beats the original DL and Space Ace just rocked. It's so hard to believe it's been over 20 years when I first played the game.... I was such a little kid but old enough to play and understand the game. Ahhh... good times... |

Actually, I do remember it. Also a demoized clone of that game comes bundled with "Fight Maker 95."

I think I had a dream about me posting in a section on this topic once and the screen was a wee bit messed up and well when I was posting, it was.

Wow, Pong! I never saw that in the arcade. I may have seen it in DisneyQuest at Disney World, but I can't remember. There were a lot of old games there. If you haven't been, you must go. I was playing pinball before - and after - that.
Black Knight 2000 baby!!! |
Two excellent games! I play Lunar lander all the time in MAME and someday I will own a BK2000 machine. |
Oh I'd love to own a BK2000 machine! That game just rocks, period.
Hey, did you ever play Attack From Mars? That's another great pinball machine. The flying saucers, the little rubber Martians that jiggled menacingly, the multi-level playing field, the video game sequences, the evil Martian voice... Oh... I thought you were just referring to the gaming memories... So I figured I'd get in on it too
However, I do get that from time to time. Kinda strange. |
