Does it go on to infinity?

on Sunday, September, 18, 2005 11:15 PM
Well, we see the goings on in the world within a mainframe computer and the programs and such. However, it appears this is merely the first of what appears to be many layers of depth. What I mean is, for example, we see Sark depressing a button on a console to activate the bikes on the game grid. That was a computer of sorts for himself. Does this mean there is yet another mysterious world for programs and such that's as unknown to Sark as Sark's world is to Alan?

Might it go on to infinity, each parent world, despite being the next world's "creator", is oblivious to it's "living universeness?"

In fact, suppose the tertiary universe is the one responsible for events viewed as mysterious and unexplainable in the human world, such ones described as bugs or gremlins. Such fleeting events, we've come to write off as "just one of those things" could have been the result of a conflict or even warefare in that affected the secondary universe in a way even unknown to them, but relevant in it's affects. The cause and effect possibilities are endless.

Perhaps the tertiary universe is the one we need to see a sequel on! Perhaps one that interplays with the classic film, yet intertwines with it's events and reality the same way the two sole superior universes interplay in the classic film. Eh?

Well, perhaps I'm reaching too far with a thought before getting some feedback first.

What do you think?

Thank you!

Think of it... Tron programs being revered as gods by another universes' programs.

Uh, so far we can see 12 billion light years away, but we question things like how were we created.

I have always been very suprised to understand the complexity of life, even though it may not seem perfect to think of our existence, our bodies are the most amazing structures to behold.

Millions of little programs of all sizes and functions, causing us to exist in a place like space, thought to be un inhabitable by all understanding we float around, with nearly everything we need to survive. It's just too good to be true.

I've heard of the human body being classified as superorganism, or a group of less complex organisms all working together to form a larger, more complex organism. This of course refers to the many types of benificial bacteria that inhabit our bodies and play important roles in how our bodies function.

Using this as a template from which to form an analogy, you could consider subroutines and callable modules to be the "less complex" organisms that come together to form programs which are the "more complex" organisms.

There are obviously programs in the electronic world that for whatever reason are not represented by user avatars, such as light cycles, c.o.w.s, bits, and bytes, but still play a role in the electronic world, much like cars and animals do in the real world. Some programs are simply used, e.g. light cycles, in the same way we use cars. Some programs can be interacted with on somewhat simpler levels but still provide useful feedback, e.g. bits, bytes, and c.o.w.s, which animals can do in the real world.

I think that's as much of a parallel as I'm going to draw.
