Can someone give me a list of abilities that the MCP has, if any?

Well, one I can think of is the ability to spin around in a fast circle for a long time without throwing up.

The MCP is linked into all of the major computer networks in the world of TRON. He has the ultimate power of information at his disposal. SARK is his General and he leads the troops who are his muscle.

Say, hypothetically he was in a one on one fight with, for instance, the T-1000 from T2. Would he have any offense in that sort of situation?order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

In the real world? T-1000I guess since the MCP's only real-world weapon is a laser tucked away in the Lawrence Livermore Lab in California, the T-1000 would win. The T-1000 would just have to avoid the laser and bash the server the MCP is housed in.

On the game grid? MCPIf the fight takes place inside the computer, however, the T-1000 would be screwed. He'd have to get past throngs of tanks, recognizers, evil minions and other digital barriers that the MCP would throw at him. Even if the T-1000 were lucky enough to find and get to the MCP, despite all the obstacles, he would have great difficulties penetrating the digital tiles that feverishly spin around the core of the MCP. As the T-1000 tried to figure out how to get through the tiles, the MCP would divert all his functions to nearby programs and ultimately defeat the T-1000 once and for all.

You have to remember, the MCP "is worth millions of... man-years." Whereas the T-1000 only comes from the year 2029, which is only about 47 years after the MCP.

Soooo, in summary: the T-1000 wins in the real-world, since that's not the MCP's strong point. Yet T-1000 loses on the game grid, where he's no match for the MCPs advanced state.

The only reason the MCP was defeated in the movie was through the help of other programs that've been in the system for a while. The T-1000 wouldn't have that same luxury and so would be at a disadvantage.

EDIT: PS - I think it would be pretty hilarious to see the T-1000 have to go into light cycle and disc throwing matches

Som MCP abilities:
* Is self-aware and has an incredible thirst for getting more and more power/knowledge, so he's able to take over computer systems around the world, including the Pentagon's and Kremlin's.

* With this information, he can run things 900 to 1200 times better than any human, which means he could very well be on the verge of creating his own real-world self-aware army to fight at the levels of the T-1000 and beyond.

* He has the power to destroy (de-rez) life on the game grid, at will, by taking away power cycles.

* He has the power to transport real-world objects onto his game grid via the real-world laser.

It would not get you far if you were, but we are glad you are seriously interested! Welcome to the TRON Sector by the way!

Thinking of a Tron Troll made me think of a new mascot for the Tron-Sector:

You're welcome Dziga. Sounds like you maybe had a bet with a friend or something. Hope you win! hehe.

RE: Tron Troll Mascot: LOL! Yes, we could make that our official Tron Troll mascot. Any time a troll enters our ranks, we can nonchalantly post that in their thread

Admins: Can that mascot be added to the forum FAQ for easy access? Maybe (TT) could be the letters tied to it (for Tron Troll).

Haha. Nice troll.

I would say, if these were true virtues, such as containing knowledge and power in one box sitting somewhere like/in a rock, it would be a very interesting experience for a mere human to endure getting in a rock to find this all seeing AI.

This shows a conflict of disproportionate parallels.

There would be no need for humans with autobionic programs, or the only purpose mankind can serve is to protect this stealth AI, without knowing it is protecting a machine.

Top officials would have to be completely unaware of such a thing.

Mobsters would have to be completely unaware of such a thing.

So what's left are the abilities of such a monster. to be undetected in a modern setting.

What could an impermeable thing use to cloak it's self? possibly mimick the frequencies of space, and use the earth's radio signatures to mask it's location? (offense)

It may communicate with a alternate universe, and make ours a mix and match of mutants, or otherwise?

would it have used the earth as a time capsule to show off to another race?

I may go on for a while, so I will stop with the idealistic approach to a super AI with a million years of formulas at it's fingertips.

I just ask the same questions sometimes.

The wuestion also has tobe asked. Was the MCP a SMP (Symetric Multi Processing) program to begin with. Some programs can use more than one CPU at any given time others can't.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Well, he more blackmailed Dillinger than "manipulated and bribed" him. Although I don't dispute that he would be able to do that to other people. He would have (even in 1982) been able to move funds electronically and without being traced. He could also probably steal passwords and manipulate data to say whatever you want (i.e. you now have an instant crime record!)
