The Tron-type images look like they are from the "Savior Of The Earth" cartoon, that was a direct rip-off of tron.

naw, its different then those. these came in under department 7, which is the toy department, so if your toy department has a dvd section it'll be in there.

its called "space thunder kids" and has a pic of a couple women and a golden mech on the front (they aren't in the movie though)

Absolutely!

it seems they spliced together scenes from their own rip offs. i just put in the dvd for Protectors of Universe (no there ie no THE) which is another of the "anime" dvds wal-mart has for $1 and just from the trailer that shows before the movie i can tell many of those scene came from this.

I have one more title from them called Defenders of universe (again, no the, and also from wal-mart) and i'll bet you anything there are scenes from that in this too.

plus the same company made that savior of the earth movie that i put the trailer of above.

and yeah, i noticed the other rips too, mainly yamato. this is freaky. heck, they even call the mech in protectors of universe Mazinga 7.

Space Thunder Kids is at my Walmart, along with those other dvd's. I got all three and am going to check them out right now.

Seems these's are going to pop up at many Walmart outlets, so keep your eye's peeled in the toy section. This kid's cartoonb dvd section just poped up in the toy section over here. I noticed three different animated versions of 20,000 Leauges Under the Sea.

What kills me is the classic animated Superman Serials from the 1940's are botlegged and sitting along side with these dvd's! Those Superman Serials are great animation. There is even a Bazoka Joe Bubble Gum bootleg of it.

EDIT: Got my popcorn ready and I'm pluging these in to see the bizzar rip-offness.

Okay zipped through the Defenders Of Space dvd, no Tron stuff. Here's the funny thing. Defenders of Space, and Protectors of Univers seem to be almost full animations of their original sources. But, Space Thunder Kids has segmetns from both of those dvds. and from other stuff too, with the Tron stuff being the ending. For a buck, get Space Thunderkids to see a segment of the Tron ripoff.

There is one thing I would like to say about the Tron rip off. A part or two looks as though they traced images from the film, such as the Tank cockpit set, seen above, and one of the Carrier segments, a side angle shot of the bridge structure on the side. *Shrugs*
