The only thing I love more than
is Ultima. For those who don't know, it's a CRPG series that makes you think of the consequences of your actions, not just do what you can to kill Foozle at the end of the game.
Anyway, with the rise of many customizeable games such as Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege and Morrowind, a number of fans have come together to recreate the Ultima series. The best starting point is Aiera (http://aiera.timeimmortal.net/). This site has all the latest and greatest info on the Ultima remakes.
My personal favorite, and the one that's made the most progress (almost done!!!) is Ultima V: Lazarus (http://www.u5lazarus.com/). Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny, was my very first Ultima, and so has a special place in my heart.
