Hi .. does anyone know what TRON actually stands for ?
I know it might be a stupid question but i need to know urgently if anyone knows lol .. thanks

From what I understand, TRON was supposed to be a shortening of "ElecTRONic"

I can't remember for sure, but they talk about it in the 20th Anniversary Edition if you turn the commentary on.
I think Boingo_Buzzard is right. I've heard that before and I think that's what they say in the commentary.
Some might think they used TRON from the BASIC command of the same name ("Trace On"), but they didn't. This rumor is disspelled in the commentary.

Wasn't there also an OS at one time called "TRON" ? Like COBOL or FORTRAN....? Am I imagining things?
