So, I went to Toys R Us today and bought the 20Q handheld LED game:
http://www.radicagames.com/index.cfm?event=showProdDetail&id=5&categoryId=3
It was about $12.
Now, not to be dramatic, but this thing totally, completely,100% utterly and absolutely freaks me out. You think of something... and within 20 questions this little hand held LED thing can guess what you're thinking of. I tried stumping it with oddball things like "movie star" and "video game" and it guessed it VER BATIM.
It's based off an online game. Now, ok, I can see an online game being able to do this. Given a flowchart of possibilities and answers to questions that could narrow down a list of known "things" to one specific thing, it would be somewhat easy to do. But the list would have to be huge.
What gets me, is this little hand held LED, $12 "bauble" can guess what I am thinking in 20 questions!!!
You seriously have to get this. It's beyond freaky and gives me chills every time its little LED display taunts me before telling me EXTACTLY what I am thinking about

I can't imagine that it'd be able to figure out some of the weirdest things I think of. :P
Edit-- Well. I beat 20q.net! Go me. (It's a long story involving a bizarre scene in MGS2. Namely: Naked Raiden.) It couldn't figure that out and gave me Batman.
Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

Hmm - that's an interesting little thing. Looks cool... I may have to snatch one up just to pass around the office and properly "freak out" my coworkers.
Cool find, Boingo_Buzzard!

Well, no.. you do have to be somewhat "generic" with the item you're thinking of. It's funny. I thought "statue" and it guessed "Robot" after 20 questions. I told it "No" when it asked if it was a Robot and within 2 more questions it guessed "Statue"
So far the only thing I completely stumped it on was a "Scarecrow" although I may have answered some of the questions incorrectly (Do you think a scarecrow weighs more than a duck?) It guessed "Black Hole" and then gave up
Other than that, I'd say it has a 90% sucess rate of guessing what you're thinking of.
