Those are some sweet photos! Very attractive women, dressed up as... game characters. And they look so nice in the flesh
The image of the Transformers almost fooled me though. I thought it was a shelf full of toys, and it wasn't until I took a closer look I could tell that they were really people in costume! Cool!

Actually, I've heard of it before, but never really seen much of it, other than a blurb here or there. I know people (men and women) have gone to gaming conventions and the likes dressed up as their favorite characters. And I've heard of gatherings devoted to just people in costume. Seen a few pictures here and there - pretty cool stuff. I believe "cosplay" is short for costume play... or something like that. Perhaps someone can clarify?

Usually, it's referred to anime where people dress up like their favorite anime character.

I've made costumes before but never could get a chance to cosplay, grr. :P

I find tht they look nice as far as I can see. Nothing disrespectfulk of the costumes. I think they are nice if they choose to wear it for th game or anime of a program that they like. I could understand if it was more risque of choice if it came from a lingerie shop or some where else that isn't as thoughtful enough.

Wow, those are absolutely amazing costumes. I wonder what it costs them to come up with just one of those and if they do all the work themselves?
The effort they put into it makes them look so elegant and professional. It really seems more like a dignified hobby or whatever you'd like call it, and not just merely an expression of fandom. These people really take it all the way. I think that's pretty neat.
Now that begs a question I have, can I commission someone to dress me up as Marth from Super Smash Bros. Melee and how much will it cost me? My girlfriend keeps saying that she pictures me as him, haha.  abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Unfortunately, the blame for that lies on the character designer of the series/video games.
...granted, it's not that hard to make a teeny adjustment to the costume to make it a little more modest, but doing so would be a sacrifice on the part of accuracy. Argh!

Cosplay is a ton of fun. Last year at Nan Desu Kan (denver convention) I went as 002 from cyborg 009. This year i think the plan is for all the local anime club guys to go as red ninjas...maybe do assinations for free pizza stuff like that. Wait a minute... I'm just not seeing the dementedness in it.
But I do gather that you don't dig female cosplay by your reaction and comments on these images.
That's cool. What some people get in to with a great passion and find interesting, entertaining, and great fun... others will find negativity in it and dislike it, for whatever reason.

well, this is certainly quite interesting, but i don't really see the point in it, sure i know it's something they get kicks out of [not like that...well...possibly, but that's not worth mentioning *shudder*] and it's fun and entertaining, but i think that characters in games, movies, anime whatever these characters are from should stay on the other side of the screen. anime for example, the huge eyes are a trademark [one of the things that lured me in] and when people dress up as anime characters, it just loses it's meaning...
but then again...some of them do look quite nice.
